Maytal I think she may be some sort of reincarnation of elphaba, she was born around the time Liir took the conference of birds and did the big display shouting "elphaba lives" There are many additional cryptic conections that i wont get into besides the basic green skin, grimiere conection.

Maggie Whitbeck I like the thought of Rain being a reincarnation of Elphaba, but I don't think she is a total reincarnation of her. She was fiesty, strong hearted, and strong willed. The love story between her and Tip shocked me in the end, but it made sense.
