^I know! I couldn't survive doing homework that long. I commute for two hours to school via a train and bus and then two hours back...easily finish one (if not two books due to reading in class ><) book in that time.
I can make reading goals. I don't know how many i read last year but this year i decided to read about 200 and finished up on some series that have been on my list for a long time.
My reading goal is the same every year - 100 books. The most I ever read in one year was in 2013 with 158 books.
My first year where I am making concrete goals.. Goal is to read 100 books in this year. Already finished 27... hope things go smoothly and I can increase my target :):)
One of my personal goals is to have the first three books in A Song of Ice and Fire series read by October. Don't know if I'll make it, but I'll try.
My goal this year was 50 books. As of right now, I am on #36...
I have a bunch of reading goals. I feel like my most important one this year is to read harder books. My dad died last year and I got into a major reading slump. I couldn't read books that created a bunch of emotions. I had too many emotions already. It's been 9 months now, so I'm ready to start reading those books again. I set my Goodreads goal at 50. I usually read close to 100 books in a year, but I wanted to avoid that pressure to read quickly, so I lowballed it.
I have been buying books like crazy so I told myself that I can't buy anymore books until I have read at least 60 from my personal shelves. Library books don't count toward that goal or anything already on my Kindle. Book tubers have had quite an effect on my buying!
My goal for the year is to read 35 books. I have read 17, so im basically on track. 35 books used to be so simple, but I don't have the time I used to. There are so many books on my shelves begging to be read, and so little time.
Last year I read over 100 books but I really felt a lot of pressure so I decided this year I would make 25 books my goal with the intention of increasing it as I go along. I have increased it to 35 books and I have read 24 books. I am behind last year but I love feeling no pressure so I've read a few books over 500 pages just because I could.
I've set my goal for this year to be 100 books. Last year, I only had it set at 5 since I didn't join Goodreads until late in the year. So far this year, I've read 54 books toward my goal, and have an entire pile of books on my desk that I'm hoping to finish before the end of August. I think I'll be able to meet my goal, but fingers crossed, just in case.

I should have the same as I had a used book store close and I went hog wild buying books at 50 percent off their already low price and then getting the credits for turning in my used books to her.
I have sworn that I won't buy any more books until the stash (underneath the loveseat in my bedroom and beside the bed) goes down. But earlier this month I was traveling and I was in a bookstore with the husband who wanted a magazine and I swear, I was not looking for any books when I spied one that I have wanted to read for a year and there it was sitting on the clearance table! What was I to do? Now its my stash plus one ... Sigh ...
The husband has no sympathy ... he just tells me to keep reading!
Aiming to read 65 books this year. I am trying to read one book a week, one book on the weekend, plus an audiobook - so that should take me over my reading goal even though I am already behind...way behind! I had a drought in the winter, which you would think would be the best time to read!
Wow you guys have some scary challenges up ahead - I'm planning on doing 50 books a year and I'm just on #3, I usually get more done in the summer because my work year is crazy stressful and I barely have time to read!
YaY! I'm trying to read 52 books this year, but so far I've only read 19... I'm a very slow reader...
I set myself a stress-free goal of 30 books and am doing quite well. However while I had hoped to read most of them from my shelf a buying spree followed by discovering the joys of NetGalley have rather put the kibosh on that idea and so far 'from-my-shelf' books only make up 6 of the 20 read so far.

I've been reading The Woman in White, which is 500+ pages of tiny type though . . . ."
Maybe you should set a goal in pages instead of number of books :)
