FOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD (I have nothing to post except food. It's the holidays~)
Reev? Seriously? I read great reviews of Thy Womb, and although I am extremely biased towards Brillante Mendoza and Lovi Poe (my inner channel, hahaha), I think this one deserves something ... good? I am now seriously considering watching Thy Womb tomorrow, hehe.Sabi ng housemate ko (just now), yung One More Try parang imitation daw ng isang Japanese movie (including the trailer).
Not sure if this is good, it's just that I'm having the same feeling I had when I was about to watch Cool Dudes 24/7 (Ruel Bayani's first movie) years back and ended up not watching it in the cinemas. Hinintay ko na lang sa Cinema One. Haha.Hesitant yet excited and very very anxious.
Pero hayaan na. Best Picture naman eh! Baka maganda talaga. Hehe.
Well, I've seen Paano na Kaya and No Other Woman and it kind of met my expectations naman.
Pero eto na naman ako. Parang El Presidente na lang gusto ko. Hahahaha.

HOHOL NA BUKAAAAAAAAAAAS(I'm not really a fan of Pinoy movies but El Presidente and Thy Womb look nice to me. Something different from a romantic film (na gasgas na) or the horror one (na never-ending) or chic-lit fim (na wala naman yatang sense)). Anyway, hihintayin ko nalang silang lahat sa Cinema One bwahahaha

Collection, the much-awaited new work from acclaimed playwright Floy Quintos is a dark comedy that paints a disturbing picture of society obsessed with conspicuous consumption, surface glamour, and the endless, unsatisfying pursuit of the Next Big Thing. Collection closes Dulaang UP's 37th Season.
In this artistic vision of a materialist hell, a fictional government agency, the National Commission on the Disposal of Philippine Patrimony, has sanctioned the sale of historical and national treasures like the Banaue Rice Terraces, the Chocolate Hills and the Malolos Constitution. The proceeds go to a national lottery designed to alleviate poverty through dole outs.
The discovery of a 16th century ivory image and the machinations of the auctioneer Carlo Vibal (Jeremy Domingo) stir the covetous desires of several collectors. Industrialist Manolo Estancio (Leo Rialp), international jeweller Tatiana Olandres (Alya Honasan and Adele Victorino), beauty magnate Stephen Yan (Roeder Camanag) and creative genius Alphonse (Alexander Cortez). Each of them wants the Virgin for his own, and all are willing to bid excessively to possess it. In the end, the auction pits not only the wealthy bidders against each other, but against the mass of Filipinos all wanting their share in the sale. But will it push through? Will one buyer own the image? Or will the sands of shifting morality cause the ground on which this fragmented society stands to crumble?

Biena: I went to several Bayani Challenges back in college :) Best summers of my life. Ang hirap lang kasi mag-leave ngayon kaya hindi na ako makasama. Boo BPO :(On another note! Sino gusto manood ng Life of Pi sa Friday sa Eastwood? No time yet but approx 8-ish siguro? :) I have work right after but I can watch it before my shift kaya sa Eastwood ang yaya ko. ^^;

We meet monthly for our F2F discussions, pero we kind of gather up for Non-F2F activities, thus the thread name, HOHOL. Haha.
