Thanks Mary and Andrea! I agree, I think we will love it! I mean it is Karin Slaughter after all!

Jannelies (living between hope and fear) | 120 comments The time is 11.50 and I just wrote my review of Murder at Midnight by Faith Martin. I'm so very busy at work and at home nowadays I hardly have time to read, let alone write reviews. I hope this situation will change within a few weeks, because I miss being here ;-)

10:09PM EXHAUSTED!!! LOL But I am home and I am off tomorrow, will spend the day with my wonderful family! I need some of that down time!

Susan, yea it was one of mom's favorite. I can't remember if she read the book or just watch the show on TV when it was a mini series.

✨Susan✨ (suswelch) | 904 comments Wow, just got home from a whirlwind trip to see friends and family. Felt like two weeks packed into 5 days! Reading the Good Daughter. It’s really good but very heavy...Karin Slaughter is very good at that. Just a quick note; I recently finished Stillhouse Lake and Killman Creek. I could not put them down. Great suspense thrillers!!

Well right now it is 6:49PM, I had a busy day at work (Although not as busy as yesterday), home now, had dinner (cheesy bacon potato casserole), having some coffee, updating some things here on GR, (my track reads, which I did not even start, but did now. LOL, and I added a new challenge.) and then I am gonna read some more for my buddy read with my niece Shelby. I am also pretty impressed with myself, I am on book 6 for this month. How about that!? Wow, almost like old days!

Hope everyone is having a good start to the week!

Hehe Susan...come on...it really is a nice creepy read. LOL Then you have to watch the movie too.

Janelle you will not be disappointed with Swan Song, it is soooo good!

I found a couple so far that sounded pretty creepy, although I am not done looking yet. Kronos and The Fallen. I am going to look some more and see what I can find.

Oh...I know it hasn't come out yet...but does anyone else think it was unnecessary to remake Pet Sematary???

9:12AM Enjoying some Kaiya time this morning before work. She is such a doll baby!

Dan, yes, I think it is silly to remake it!

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments 10:06 AM

I'm at work. I need some coffee or tea, though! I'm feeling tired! Hoping to get to read today during my lunch break.

I'm actually really interested to see the remake of Pet Sematary. I heard it is supposed to be scarier. I don't think it was unnecessary, per se....I thought I read or heard somewhere there things which happened in the book which the old movie could not portray accurately, because of the lack of technology. Now, it sounds like they can do whatever it was they left out, etc.

message 14227: by ✨Susan✨ (new)

✨Susan✨ (suswelch) | 904 comments I think it would be great to have a remake.

Going to pick up my sons car that has been molested by squirrels, those pesky buggers.

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 9:34 PM EST- Just finished watching Killing Eve. I'm loving that show! Anyone else watch it???

I started my new job (in addition to being a freelance artist) last week. I like it but am having a little bit of performance anxiety.

Right now I'm reading By Blood We Live by John Joseph Adams . Some of the stories are good and some are...meh. I went out and bought NOS4A2 by Joe Hill last weekend, so I'm trying to finish up By Blood We Live so I can get to reading that. The TV show looks good, can't wait for that to come out. The title of the book (the license plate) spells out "Nosferatu". Does that mean there are vampires in it? LOL.

Yea Dan is it based around vampires, and no, not the sparkling ones....lol...and it is a very good read. My favorite by Joe Hill.

Jannelies (living between hope and fear) | 120 comments It's 13.34 and I'm on my lunch break. Trying to find on Goodreads how I can see how many likes my reviews get. I seem to remember I once saw a list, but I cannot find it. Not that it is very important, but I am always searching for ways to improve my reviews. I just want to see which ones are the most liked, so I can learn from that. Anyone who can help me here?

Hey, I have a question for you guys. Kinda personal but I need help. I got "catfished" by someone on Google hangouts. Is there anything I can do about it?

message 14248: by Janie, Group Owner & Book Addict (new)

Janie Johnson | 6303 comments Mod
I don't know anything about Google Hangouts, sorry Dan.

message 14249: by Kathryn (new)

Kathryn (kcanty313) | 1870 comments Dan, I think you might have to explain further. What do you mean you got "catfished"?

message 14250: by Victor (new)

Victor Ouch Dan I’d say to just leave it in the past and move on. Catfishing is when someone pretends to be someone they’re not on the internet, either by using photos not of them or using old photos of themselves that don’t look like them today. If they can’t be themselves on the internet talking to you, then they probably aren’t worth investing your time in.
