8:08AM So no phone call today so far for going into work. So I am thankful for that. I am going to get in some serious reading today I know that much!

Yea Dan, our pets are family and it is so difficult when we see them suffer, yet we want them around forever. It is these decisions that kill us the most. Sorry you are having to deal with this right now.

Susan please feel free to read IT without me. I have next to no time to read as it is, and a book that size will now take me a whole month to get through. Enjoy it!

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 2:05AM EST. Up late reading tonight, should be asleep. At least I'm out of that damned reading funk I was telling you guys about early last week! LOL.

Thank you for your kind words, Janie. As always.

Today was a very productive day, I got a lot of work done. There was an extremely minor family crisis early tonight. But it's all water under the bridge now.

I watched the latest episode of the third season of Better Call Saul tonight and it was awesome! This season is the best yet. It's great for us die-hard Breaking Bad fans to have cause we miss that show so much.

9:14AM Got home about 45 min ago and now trying to recuperate! I need a better co worker, someone who will do their share. Is that really too much to ask?

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 2:53 AM EST. Sitting up reading now. I need to stop stop staying up so late. Not like I do it all the time or it's as bad as it used to be....but I find myself a somewhat nocturnal person. Isn't that a genetic thing? For instance, my mom is like that too, my grandfather is like that, and my sister....well, lately she's been living like a vampire.

Sorry to hear about your work troubles, Janie. Don't know what it is you do, but when ever you get down about something like that, you should go watch Office Space. I love that movie, it is hilarious. LOL

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 11:50 PM EST. Sitting here trying to get some reading in.

Today was an alright day I suppose. Got some work done, did some stuff around the house and ran around getting ready for mother's day. Yesterday, however is a different story.

Sometimes I feel weird about venting on here to strangers, but you guys are pretty cool. Yesterday I was actually having a good day, till at night I got into an argument with my sister and she said and did some stuff that really got under my fucking skin. I am so sick of my sister acting like she is all high and mighty judging everyone all the time, and acting like her shit comes out gold plated. She is mean and treats people like shit, not all the time, but a lot of the time and does it to everyone. She is the only one in my family that can get away with behavior like that and I don't get it nor do I like it. She is a total self-righteous fucking bitch, and I am sick of it.

6:40AM I got to read some last night, and you know that makes me happy. Got up at 5:45 this morning just so I could get a few things done before work. So right now I am enjoying some coffee. Amy and Aeverie are coming to see me on my break today. YAY!

Dan, sometimes it is better to confide in people you don't know very well. They have a less biased opinion. Sometimes you just have to let your family know when you are unhappy. I have a sister like that as well. She is pretty judgmental, even when she says she does not judge people.

2:25 AM EST. Up late again, LOL. I just read something interesting online about the hereditary mutation of the CRY1 gene, and that it can make certain people proned to be somewhat nocturnal. I would share that with my sister if I wasn't so mad at her right now. I Had a good mother's day celebration today at my uncle's house in Pennsylvania even though my grandmother is sick. She got an iPhone as a gift today though.

Janie, thank you for your kind words. That is an interesting point you made about confiding in strangers, I like that. You, I kind of feel like I know since I've been an active member of a couple of your groups on GR for the past four years now. Yeah, I don't think my sister thinks she is that way either. I mean isn't that the way people work though?? In real life, villains don't think they are villains (definitely not comparing my sister to a villain...LOL).

I've got a busy week ahead of me. Hope I get everything done I need to get done.

I just bought this book Who Killed Kurt Cobain? The Story of Boddah by Nicolas Otéro , it's a graphic novel about Kurt Cobain. I'm really not crazy about the cover art, but the art inside the book is...... AWESOME. I can't wait to read it!

And I am insanely happy that NBC decided not to cancel Timeless, and that it will be back for a second season!!!

8:53PM Yay I am off tomorrow (fingers crossed) Hub says he is not letting me answer my phone if work calls. MUHAHAHA,,,,not gonna try to read tonight because it will put me to sleep and I want to be awake for Kay tonight once she gets home. She has been missing that. Going to breakfast in the morning, that will be some good time together, then going to sit around and do nothing but read. YAY! GO ME!

Dan I agree, I don't compare my sis to a villain, but she needs to stop being mother hen now, we are all adults now.

Alondra I would love a drink with you! Be there soon haha!

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 11:33 PM EST. Going to get some reading done before bed. I'm on page 310 of A Passage to Shambhala (The Explorers Guild, #1) by Jon Baird . I'm really trying to give this book a chance, I thought it would be good to read something different. And I like the whole idea of mixing a novel with book illustrations and a graphic novel. But, it's kind of been hard to pay attention to what's going on in the story, and I can't get into the characters. I suppose I'll stick to my reading rule and finish it, then form a formal opinion of it.

Just watched tonight's episode of Better Call Saul. Damn, that show is getting really good! It's almost as good as Breaking Bad. And I'm still filled with glee that they renewed Timeless.

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 9:28 PM EST. Woke up from a nap an hour ago, now I'm eating dinner and watching an old episode of Breaking Bad.

I was all energetic and productive today, from the time I got up at 7AM up to through late afternoon. That is until around 5PM, when I started to feel lethargic and drained. Last year I had anemia, and had to go for iron treatments. I hope I'm not getting that again.

I'm going to eat, watch this episode, then get some reading in.

Getting to bed late tonight because I had a great time talking to one of my mentors and best friends on the West coast. She just so happens to be 83 years old, still awesome, and still kicks butt.... She makes me feel old at my young age. Shame on me...

Dan (dan2345) | 304 comments 2:58 PM EST. Tomorrow is my dad's birthday. My dad doesn't like it when my sister and I buy him cards, so every year we make him one and he likes that better. I usually put my artistic skills to use and draw something on it. He's a big fan of the comedian, Jeff Dunham. So this year, I made him a card with the "Achmed the Dead Terrorist" puppet on it.
 photo Achmed Birthday card.jpg
LOL...I'm pretty happy with the way it came out. Might tweak it some more early tomorrow. I can't wait to give it to him.
For Father's day I'm going to make him a card with one of the other puppets, "Walter".

I know it's late here but I'm gonna get at least a little bit of reading in before bed. LOL...Janie, I like that song.

So funny Dan, that guy is so funny. We always say, "I Keel you", around here. Walter is also hysterical. Very Artistic.

Getting my Dads Father's Day and Birthday gift ordered early this year so I am not scrambling and having to pay extra delivery charges. It's nice the two dates are close together. He's 86 this year. Miss him but have our visit all arranged for August. All of my kids and their significant others will be able to go with us this year. First time in 6 years we all be there at the same time. Two thumbs up.

HAHA Susan I already tried that with Kay. She wants to stay where she is right now, but you are right we need people in the deli pretty badly. I will seriously be surprised if the gal that put the 2 weeks in even comes to work to finish it out.
