Mary Beth | 323 comments I spent the day at my sister- in- laws and it was a fun day. Had KENTUCKY Fried Chicken for lunch and had some girl time. It was a good time!

Alondra my mouth is watering right now. The Sea Food sounds so good.I agree with Susan, hole in the wall restaurants are usually the best.

I am now having some reading time to top off the day.

Corey | 1411 comments 8:56 PM Had a nice relaxing weekend, got some laundry done, and just helped my Mom tidy up the house a bit, but the only downside is I think I've got a cold, the past couple days my sinuses have been all stuffed up, me head hurts, I've been coughing and I have a scratchy throat, which sucks. Read for awhile so now I'm going to bed.

Good night everyone, hope you all had a good weekend.

Thanks Janie, I just had some hot tomato soup to help clear up my sinuses, and it seemed to help a bit. Sorry that you're having allergy problems of your own.

7:36PM Had dinner, spent some time with my oldest daughter, now settling down for the evening. I am thinking I will play a game here on line that I enjoy.

Corey, fortunate for me I don't suffer from allergies, but my poor hubby, son and grandson all suffer from allergies pretty bad this time of year. Glad you are feeling somewhat better.

Corey | 1411 comments 10:13 AM Woke up this morning, and my cold has gotten the better of me looks like, I could hardly breathe, my throat is sore, and my Mom told me I'd been coughing all night in my sleep. It was so bad this morning I couldn't even bring myself to go to work, that's how bad it is. I'm kind of kicking myself for canceling, but my job involves cleaning and I went to work yesterday, and I was dusting and I wonder if being around all that dust yesterday made my cold worse. So I'm home sick today. And I'm all stuffed up my voice is so raspy I can hardly speak.

Sorry, I'm rambling. Hope everybody has a good day.

message 13677: by Corey (new)

Corey | 1411 comments 7:42 PM Just checking in. My cold's finally gone, feeling much better now. And not to gross anybody out but I did get a big of a stomach flu Super Bowl night, I ate way too much junk food, and also 2 big slices of pizza and 2 glasses of Coke, and I said to myself I'm probably gonna pay for this in the morning. So when I went to bed I felt really queasy, but I was able to sleep for a couple hours, but at 1:00 in the morning it came back and I threw up a bit, luckily I have a trash can right next to my bed, luckily I threw up only once. But I was able to get back to sleep and when I woke up I felt fine, and my Mom said at least I didn't get sick from getting drunk, which I should mention I don't drink, HAHA!

Now I'm settling in to bed to read for a while. Hope everybody's doing well. Talk to you guys later!

11:21PM Well I watched 3 more episodes of Outlander season 2. I can't wait for season 3 to come. I think it is in April. The third book was ,my favorite of the series so far so I can't wait for that season. I am now going to continue on with The Marvels and get that finished up so I am ready for The Kept Woman.

Glad you are feeling better Corey!

Alondra Miller 9:18 p.m. Sorry about the Steak & Salad, Shell!! LOL

So ready for the weekend. It is supposed to be nice; so I get to do a little gardening, or shall I say, Yard Work. I don't think it will be any fun, though.

Finished Night Film. It was too awesome. Really weird, but you know I love weird.

Glad you are doing better, Corey!

Shell wrote: "Is that The Marvels by Brian Selznick Janie? I have that book but haven't read it yet. Are you enjoying it?"

Yes Shell, I enjoyed it a lot. He is so different with the way he creates and tells a story. They are usually all pretty heartwarming as well. I have read The Invention of Hugo Cabret and Wonderstruck as well. Both are equally as good. He has an amazing talent since he does all of his own illustrations and book covers too.

7:02PM Just got home from 'Painting With a Twist'. Our Daughter Amy treat the hub and I for a Valentine's gift and an early Anniversary gift. What this is, is a place where you paint a picture and enjoy a bit of wine while doing so. This month was painting connecting hearts. So I painted one and hub painted the other half. We had so much fun. This is the second time I have went, it was a first for hubby. We both enjoyed ourselves a lot.

Alondra Miller 10:04 p.m. After a long day of working; come home just to go out again. We had to buy a new bed frame, due to the old one breaking after the hubby and dog had a wrestling match... ggrrrr!!! So, I shell out a wad of cash for a frame, then we shell out more money because now it is a king size and not queen. We have to move out the old stuff, move in the new stuff..... *cries*

......and lastly; I have to buy ALL new bedding.... *weeps uncontrollably*
