7:19AM Kay just left for school and I am sitting here enjoying my tea. Not sure of what I want to read next, but I am thinking I will wait till April and read Finder's Keepers. Overcast and dreary with sprinkles this morning ACK
7:03 am. Heading for SanDiego for some R&R with hubby. Left the kids to hold down the fort. Please pray for them. Lol
7:14AM It is going to be a beautiful day today, I may read a few more short stories by Maberry today. Hmm? I might even go take a nap LOL
Susan how fun for the two of you. Enjoy your time together under sunny skies! Have a safe trip! Hugs!

10:32 a.m. Just got back from Lowe's with a few plants; with a Blue Bearded Iris, that I just had to have. Making a quick breakfast; then out to garden for a spell; then on to reading. :)
10:08AM Just finishing up here online then gonna get to my book. Did not have a chance to read at all yesterday, so I really want to have some time to do that today.
Thank you Janie. It's fun to go but always nice to return home. Alondra, those are gorgeous, it's too hot here to grow the big irises. We can only grow the little blue ones for a short time before it gets too hot for even those. I had some beauties when we lived on the west coast. I had many color's but a dark purple one that looked black really was stunning. I'm jealous.
Susan Glad you had a good time in San Diego.Alondra I love going to the garden store. I cant do that yet though because of frost could still happen and kill them. I love Iris's.
I just finished an audiobook, The Good, the Bad, and the Undead The Hollows Series #2 by Kim Harrison. It was so good.
Susan I just added that series! It looks good. Ive been reading the Kate Daniels series and I am on the third book. The first was good but the second was even better and Ive heard with the third book that you just dont want to stop after that and people usually binge read them all one after another. I doubt I wiuld do that though. The narrator is awesome.
7:44AM I am currently sitting here listening to the light rain and drinking my coffee, had to close the windows though *bummer* I am currently reading The Forgotten Girls. So I am hoping I enjoy it.
8:57 A.M.- I'm sitting in my living room with my sister and my niece, trying to read The Catcher in the Rye.
8:38PM Reading The Forgotten Girls: A Bella DeFranco Mystery, and it is getting really good. Want to finish this by tomorrow since I have a review book to read.
Checking my email and listening to Endangered by C. J. Box. I was so happy that in my last adventure to the Used Book Store with Janie and fam. I found out that the C.J. Box book I purchased in the Joe Pickett series was a signed copy. Yay :-)
10:44 AM. I have got a lot going on in my mind today. My son and his excel class have been selected to go to China on an educational learning trip. I need to go to a meeting later this week to get the information regarding this trip. He will start middle school next year and have got paperwork about World Language classes. If he takes for example, Mandarin Chinese, for 18 weeks his 7th & 8th grade year he will earn high school credits. So when he starts high school, he would be in 2nd year World languages. He is in 6th grade and does 8th grade math and 7th grade science, language arts, and social studies. So next year it will be Algebra. Did we have all these advantages when we were in school? Just looking at the next few years has got me exhausted and my head spinning. I am going to try and read to take my mind off it all. LOL
1:11PM Just finished The Forgotten Girls and it was a good read. Not a favorite by any means but good enough to keep me interested. I think I will go ahead and read the Lost years which is the sequel.
Andrea it is crazy at how fast schools move no with all these new ideas and such, it drives me crazy. This is a big deal for you and your son. Hope everything gets figured out.

If he keeps up his rapid study habits, quite a few AP classes in highschool will earn him college credit and save you some money.

If not let me know if liked it. I want to maybe read Open Season next month.
Susan you got so lucky on that purchase! I wonder if they did not catch that. Was it more expensive than normal?
Yes Mary, I love the Joe Pickett series. I have read 2,11,12,14,15. I like the later ones in the series, the characters are better developed, but I'm sure they are all good. Janie, it was $15 for the hardback so I'm not sure.
Well it is a half price book store, so look at the cover price and half it. Sometimes you will find those rare books that they mark down to $6 though. Either way it is awesome!
Janie, I am reading The Iron King and I can't put it down. Who knew I could like a YA fantasy. It is written as more of an adult book as far as the characters are pretty brutal and like she said at the beginning, she is telling the story as an adult looking back at her life ten years before.

YAY SUSAN! You just made my day! The series just gets better and yea it is not a light hearted read at all. I am so glad you are enjoying it, there is such a wide range of characters.

It's almost 01:30 am in Norway. I have started reading a book of a norwegian author and a book of a swedish author. I am gonna take my last cup of coffee today before I head to bed:)

Let me know what book your going to read next month and I will see if I can join you. I love this series!
Janie wrote: "Susan wrote: "Janie, I am reading The Iron King and I can't put it down. Who knew I could like a YA fantasy. It is written as more of an adult book as far as the characters are prett..."Great characters. From the reviews it keeps getting better.
Janelle wrote: "7:15 pm. Has anyone read Clive Cussler series? If so, how do you like it from a scale of 1-10?"I've read many of his books, he is EXCELLENT! I highly recommend him if you like adventure books.
7:36. Hey Corey! Thank you. I am currently listening to Havana Storm while on my way home. I am thinking about renting a book because I am not really paying attention, but the series sounds like something I can get in to :-)

He's been around a long time.
It's 9:47pm and I'm updating my status on the books I'm reading, meeting new people on Goodread & updating my profile.
Janelle wrote: "7:15 pm. Has anyone read Clive Cussler series? If so, how do you like it from a scale of 1-10?"I loved his Dirk Pitt series. Dirk and Al, his sidekick, are still amoung my all time favorite characters of all time. Highly recommend.
8:40AM About to run out and get groceries before another downpour hits us! We should have done it yesterday while we were out but didn't. Oh well!
Listening to The Darker Side and the relentless rain coming down. Looks like rain for the next four days in Tx. Another drowning downpour in April. Our lakes are going to be overfull this year again.
8:11pm. Just completed 6 Rainier Drive. Getting clothes ready for tomorrow & trying to determine if I want to finish my taxes or do my hair.
Laying next to my new 1 1/2 lb. Yorkie. New picture added. I'm calling her terrorist but naming her Brandy.
10:26AM Just finished uploading Let's Talk Authors video. And now finishing up here so I can read more of A Journal of Sin for the Read Your E-Reader for April. So far so good.
Susan you got another little furbaby? hehe how awesome!
