5:15PM Had a great day so far out with the family. Went to go see Home, a kids show. Thought Aeverie would like it. Then we took him to Eureka park, and after that we cooled off with some ice cream from Brahms. Now time to fire up the grill for some good food. YUM! What a beautiful day!

9:41AM Had a great time last night. We ended up staying home for the fireworks we bought our own and had a lot of fun with it. We started out having to go get stuff for our cook out, got home then decided to have fireworks here at home so we went out again to get some fireworks. It was a busy day so no reading again. LOL

10:51AM Going to try and dedicate time to reading today, although we may head over to check on some dirt so we can plant these pumpkin seeds this year.

We had a great weekend, or actually a great week in general. We bought a pool but it can't be delivered until the 17th, they have been busy, and we also did a trade in on our car and got a brand new Ford Taurus, it is so nice.

5:33PM Just got home from having dinner. We actually went out to price dirt for our pumpkin patch. We found a place with free delivery but go figure, there was no one there. So hub will call them. How do you do business like that?

Aww Darcy thank you! I appreciate that so much!

Mary Beth | 323 comments Went to a public swimming pool today and tanned out in the sun while reading Pines. It felt so good to jump in the water to cool off. I am so sunburned like a lobster. I had a good tan before I went and didn't think I'd be sunburned. I feel awful. I even have chills. Yuck!

message 12982: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth | 323 comments Wow! Stephanie I forgot all about my aloe Vera plant but I did have a bottle of aloe Vera and put that on it but it was freezing cold on it that's how burned I am. It gave me the chills and made my body feel so sticky and gross so I took a cold shower and that helped.

Home now but super scary. It is supposed to take weeks even months for full recovery. This is why I have been MIA for a while. Hope all my buddies are good.
Mary, I'm so sorry about your lobster situation, been there done that, nooooo fun. Cool baths help a little.

Ouch, sorry about your sunburn Mary. When I was about 12 or 13 I was laying on the beach and I didn't put sunblock on because I hated it LOL! Then I got burned from the neck down to my lower back, I was in so much pain for like a week. Hope yours goes away, yeah use Aloe because that's what I use, and use cool water as well.

Mary Beth | 323 comments Wow so happy your back!!! I've been wondering what happened. I hope your hubby feels better soon!!! That's awful, especially to happen on vacation. Glad your no longer MIA buddy!

I do feel a lot better today!!! I used half of the bottle of the aloe and it did help along with the cold shower!

message 12990: by Mary Beth (new)

Mary Beth | 323 comments Yes I usually put on sun block but I already had a dark tan so didn't think I needed it but I did. It feels much better today, the dark redness turned into a darker tan already. I get really dark in the summer because tan easily and get burned easily lol. The ultraviolet rays were intense yesterday.
