8:10AM Really Enjoying Since You've Been Gone by Mary J. Payne. This was a net galley pick. Started it around 6:00 last night and read over half of it. I got sleepy around 10:30 and went to bed. I will finish this book today, it has been really good. About a 4 star read right now.

LOL Janelle did ya end up pulling an all nighter with The Lightening Thief? I will be reading that once I finish my current read. My son has been bugging me to get to it. So we can watch the movie together.

Andrea | 233 comments 9:45AM I am just sitting at work and trying not to think about how cold it is outside. -6° with a windchill of -22°. I don't know if my feet will ever feel warm again. LOL. Trying to read during my down time. I hope to get The Darkest Minds finished this week.

I watched the Lightening Thief last night. LOL. I read the book in 2013. The book and movie are a lot different (in my opinion).

message 12708: by Janelle (new)

Janelle | 347 comments 12:12 Janie, I ended up recording it since my husband said that he has not seen the movie. I was like "WHAT?" Lol. So I will attempt the all-nighter Friday or Saturday and watch the movie with hubby Sunday:^) I really need to get the rest of the series. It is a great book!

message 12709: by Janelle (new)

Janelle | 347 comments Andrea, I'm going to take note. I read the book a long while ago (2011?) and it was a while after when I watched the movie. I will pay attention to the differences this time.

1:57PM Just finished my net galley pick (ended up being a 3 star rather than a 4 star) and now gonna read The Lightnng Thief. I am hoping I will like it. We will see. Have plans to go out this evening and do some grocry shopping, I also told hubby I want to go get Prodigy since I still need that one.

Janelle I just started The Lightning thief since I finished my Net Galley pick. My son has been bugging me to get this book read so that we can watch the movie. LOL

8:03AM So The Lightning Thief has been good so far, but still I am not all that far into the book. I do plan to make today a good reading day once I get my chili going in the ninja. LOL

Janell thanks. I think I will like this, I mean so far it has piqued my interest so that is definitely good.

message 12720: by Janelle (new)

Janelle | 347 comments 9:13 Met my quota for reading this month so I am taking my time while reading my next book. Because of the upcoming semester, I am keeping all of my reads light. I think this will make reading easier while attending school. I am more likely to finish a book that is short and simple right now than diving into a whole new world. I'm not going to lie, it's hard because at times I am in an "escape to another world" type of mood. Lol.

3:12PM Got busy today cleaning up my shelves here on GR. Was on my Read shelf and discovered that every book I have added to my TBR shelf also went on my read shelf, now that was irritating. I had no idea it did that. So I went through and first cleaned up my TBR which allowed me to 'batch edit' and it went quickly. I removed all those books that I don't own off of my TBR. Then I went to clean up my read shelf and guess what? It would not let me batch edit that shelf, so yea I had to clean them off one by one. UGH! That was not fun.

Susan I am looking forward to both starting and finishing many series this year. I have listed 13 for sure. I think it would be great to get all of these series completed. Thanks for watching my vlog girl!

Hey Janessa, what kind of food does IHOP serve? Because we don't have one in my hometown, but I know it's a chain.

9:09PM Had fish and broccoli for dinner, YUM. Then I took Aeverie down to the playground since we were almost at 60 today, so that was nice for a change. Got some reading done this evening so yay on that.

Corey, Ihop is best known for their breakfast foods, but they do have dinner foods as well. They serve breakfast all day too. It is a pretty good place to eat.

And then I also got Chosen, the sequel as well for free with Kindle unlimited that I am trying for 30 days. I really should read books that are here in my library. LOL

2:15PM Spending the day reading today and also doing some videos. Got them edited and ready to post throughout the week on Booktube. Enjoying Revival a lot, of course it is King so I really had no doubts that I would like it.

Good luck on your driving Corey! It can be a scary thing. My youngest will be starting as well, hub just got the packet for the parent teaching course.

LOL Susan I do let Joe out, every time I talk about him to others and through my vlogs for Booktube. LOL I am glad you enjoy watching them. I really do enjoy making them.

8:32PM Just finished Revival and now ready to write my review. It was SO GOOD! I loved it! It has ben far too long since I have read a King novel.

Judy I loved Revival, but then again I liked Dr. Sleep too. I have not yet read Mr. Mercedes. I have it on my kindle but I feel like I need it in Physical form. If I think about it, I have liked every King book I have ever read except for 2. From a Buick 8 and Black House. Everything else I really enjoyed.

I've just been reading the comments above mine.. I've not read Dr Sleep, nor Revival, or even Mr Mercedes, yet. I own Dr Sleep, but I don't own The Shining, which I also haven't read. Black House took me months to read, but From a Buick 8 was the first SK I read, and I LOVE it even now!

9:57AM Sitting here with my Tea and book. About to do a video for my channel. Then I will be reading Both of me a review book from Book Look Bloggers. I like it so far and will finish it quickly.

Lucy I love how all of us like different books. I would think you could read Dr. Sleep without even reading the Shining, it might help in the long run I think since it does not revolve around the Overlook Hotel.
