Thank you Janie, sending a hug your way.
5:52PM Since my Mom and I are going through a tough time and since she has to plan for my Grandmother's funeral, we decided to open up our Christmas presents tonight, because things are pretty crazy right now and we weren't sure when we'd have time to open presents, so we decided to do it tonight. I keep telling myself that Christmas isn't about the presents, it's about family and the birth of Christ.
7:59PM The house is super quiet right now. Everyone in school and at work. So it is a great time to get some videos recorded. Got my shopping finished last night. Good grief it has been non stop going this month. Always so busy but I do love this time of year.
3:50PM Today's a pretty mellow day for us, my Grandmother passed away late last night, my Mom went up to the Hospital to say goodbye to her, which I know was hard for her. We're going to miss her very much but I also need to look at the brighter side, she's in a happier place now and she's not suffering anymore, I know she thought the world of me and now I know that she's watching over my Mom and I.
So sorry for your loss Corey. It's 8:07 p.m and I'm catching up on messages and stuff, not doing a whole lot really. Did some more Christmas shopping today, and got some of it wrapped when I got home. Only a couple more things to get and I'll be all done.
Corey I am so sorry for your loss, you have my condolences. I like that you are looking at the other side of it too, sometimes it is those thoughts that get us through. You and your family are all in my thoughts and prayers.
7:57PM Just did a work out and now I am going to start another book, I think. I might play some online games first. I don't know. Or perhaps I should wrap some gifts. I will get it figured out.
9:02PM went to dinner this evening. I have a sick grandbaby though. He is on the mend I think. He is feeling somewhat better now. Better to be sick now than on Christmas Day. I am gonna chill with some coffee and a good book. I hope everyone has a great weekend.
10:43 p.m. Got quite a bit of reading done tonight, now I'm really tired and I'm off to bed, Good night everybody, hope you all have a good weekend!Janie I hope your Grandchild feels better.
Janelle wrote: "3:30 In a reading slump. ..."I wish it was 3:30 here. But it is 21:46 and I haven't finished half of the things I planned for today. I am too tired now.
Janelle wrote: "Ema, I still have an event this evening (6:35 pm). I'm tired now but I have to go....."I hope you enjoyed your event, Janelle :)
It's morning here, 8:51, and I am bursting with energy although I am not a morning person. Maybe that can change? Are you a morning person, Janelle?
10:00 a.m. Ema I am both, morning and evening. I like to get everything done in the morning so I can have fun in the evening. Unfortunately, I get tired around 3 p.m. and have to do jumping Jacks or whatever necessary to wake myself up so I can get the fun stuff in. Lol.
Any book for a quarter is good!! Doing all the wrapping today. The kids keep asking if there are any presents. Went to the GayLord (Huge resort here in Dallas) for dinner last night and it was wonderful food and a winter wonderland of decorations. Hope all are enjoying the season.
Almost 3 p.m just got back from going to Goodwill and spending the gift money my brother gave me. Got a bunch of books, but I gotta still bring em in and clean em up and shelve em here on GR. Then I went to WalMart and got a couple of things, and now I'm back home. I'm making me some nachos for dinner later, but I'm feeling hungry for them right now! Lol. They're gonna be good.
Kiddo's over at my dad and step-mom's house for awhile, they're making cookies and stuff for Christmas, so he's having fun and I've got the day to myself. Got the cleaning done last night, so I can just relax and read :D
8:54 p.m. Getting excited for Christmas "stay-cation"10 days of bliss, no phone calls, angry patients, crying patients, bitter co-workers, needy doctors or refills... *shudders*
Also, getting excited about the Buddy Read on The Dark Tower series. It will be fun discussing this book series with you all.
Even if you have read it, please feel free to jump in anytime.
Merry Christmas!!
10:54 . Writing chapters and blogs
1:26PM Merry Christmas everyone! Unfortunately I got sick, YUCK! I am feeling a little better now. It is just a cold, sore throat light headedness. Thankfully no stomach issues.

10:17AM Sickness had been sweeping my house for days. UGH I think everyone is recovering now. We had a beautiful Christmas and I hope everyone else had a great Christmas as well. Taking a trip out today to B&N because they are having a big sale.
12:30 a.m playing a Walking Dead game on my PS3 and just about having a heart attack! I cleared this hallway of walkers, made sure all the doors were shut, turned around to grab something, turn back around and ack! Walker in my face trying to eat me. I gasped so loud I scared the dog, he slunk off to the other room. Everyone's sleeping... maybe I shouldn't be playing this when it's dark and I'm pretty much alone... lol. Anyway, had to take a break until my heart quit pounding so hard, it's making me jumpy.
9:48AM Sitting here with my Aves while he plays on his tablet and I check the groups out. No plans going out today, a day of rest!
Just watched your Blog. You poor bookworm. So sad you were sick but so proud you were a trouper, you even wore your Cowboys zip up. You are my Christmas hero. Huggggs
HAHA Susan! I hate getting sick! I am much better now though.
7:07AM Now all the rush rush is over...Cowboys in the Playoffs that is a big YAY! They ended their season with a 12-4 record. They start out playoffs next week with Detroit Lions which should not be too bad. I am such a football junkie.

11:14 a.m gotta get my hair put up then I think I'm gonna tackle a little bit of house clean-up. The kid's Christmas toy explosion all over the living room is making me antsy, I need to put all those toys away! I for sure want to get the kitchen and bathroom done too. Sigh. It never ends...
11:15 a.m. Just posted the future thread for The Gunslinger; with a couple of questions to think about as you read on/after 1/1/15. Lots of sites out there discussing this book.Sipping coffee and thinking about books.
4:14 p.m. "Pinning" my books that I have read to my board on Pinterest. I am hooked!Yeah, I got a Pinterest account; what of it!!??
3:00PM My Mom and I just got up to my Grandmother's home town, Presque Isle. Her funeral's gonna be in a couple of days, then we're gonna head home, my Mom and I just got checked into our hotel room, and I'm already feeling homesick. I always get that way if I'm spending the night in a strange place.

I'm so sorry for the loss of your Grandma. Keeping you and your family in my prayers. Sending virtual hugs. I pray for peace for you and your Mom right now.

But she's in a happier place now.
9:38AM Enjoying some coffee this morning before I tackle the closet in the Library. I decided to not take decorations back out to the shed. Stuff is getting ruined out there. So making room for everything in the closet. Randy started it for me yesterday while I took down the tree and such. After that I will read and try to finish Legend today.
Just watched your vlog Janie. Looks like you have some good ones for January. Let Me In and the Lightening Thief were both good movies. We watched the second movie in the Percey Jackson series "Sea of Monters" yesterday and it's a good one too. Closet cleaning....bleck. Taking all Xmas down throughout the week. Tree next weekend. Good luck and Don't get lost in your closet. Hehe.
12:25PM HAHA Susan I finished the closet and I am still ticking LOL It was not so bad since Hubby already had pulled most of it out. We got rid of some stuff and made some room. I did not finish Legend yesterday though so I will finish that today.
6:40 p.m, I'm on a rampage! A hardback book I ordered from Amazon, used, not new, but was listed as being in Very Good condition with little to no wear finally showed up today. Sure, it's in good condition I suppose... except for the fact that it has no jacket!!!!! Ugh! I was so mad I wanted to just throw the thing in the trash. Not really, I'd never do that to a book, but I wanted to throw something! A hardback with no jacket is useless to me, and I do not want it. I wouldn't pay a quarter for a naked hardback at Goodwill, I certainly am not going to pay $7 for one. I think the seller should've noted that there was no jacket, because without the jacket, to me, the thing is not in Very Good condition. So, I put in a return request, gotta wait and see if the seller accepts my reasons for wanting to return it. Hopefully they do, and then I'll order me a copy with a jacket. But anyway, on a more cheerful note, I'm about to go have me a Red Bull :p
10:36PM Just watched the Maze Runner and loved it. It makes me wanna pick up the book much faster now. LOL It was great and I can only imagine how much more thorough and descriptive the book is. I did kind of hate the end because it pissed me off. LOL
Kit I would be livid. I agree, the seller definitely needed to state that there was no dust jacket. I would tell him if he wants a decent rating that he needs to allow you to return the book. That is just wrong of him, and even then he does not deserve a decent rating just for being negligent in a proper description of the product.

2 pm hanging out over at step-dad's doing laundry and stuff, helping out while grandma's in the hospital. Kiddo's watching toons and I'm using the wifi while waiting for the washer to stop. Shoulda brought a book, but I've been unable to decide what to read next. Still gotta hash out a review for Revival too.The book seller messaged me back wanting a picture of the 'damage' and a description of my problem. I'm like... didn't you read the original message I sent with the return request? Geez. Guess if they don't let me return it I'll just PBSwap it. Either way I'm gonna get me a good copy, lol.
3:08PM. I am just sitting her thinking that it is to cold outside. 11° with a windchill of -1°. Five and half inches of snow. UGH However, it is going to be worse tomorrow. 0° for the the high tomorrow and windchills could reach -35° in the evening. BRRRRRR I need a warm beach to sit on while reading a good book. A girl can dream. LOL
Sounds like they are wanting to just give you a hard time Kit with the book. UGH I hate dealing with people who just want to make things more difficult.
