Cindy, the temp agent was so rude once my son texted to find out what was going on. He tells my son "They just decided to end your assignment. Sorry" And that was it. WTH? He sits up there fpr 4 hours putting boxes together and they say that? Like he is just trash? UGH! He will get his old job back at Chicken Express, he is not thrilled about it, but at least it is a job right?

I got let go at a temp agency after doing great work for 5 weeks. The reason I got was "your one co-worker was put off by your sunny disposition". So, in other words, I got canned for being happy. Um?!?!?!

9:20am, at work, enjoying my pumpkin spice latte and "working" aka checking out Goodreads. Contemplating how to get some reading in today, but thinking of all of the shows I have on my DVR that are demanding my attention

8:46AM Very Chilly here in Texas this morning. It is at 52 right now. Fall is here! Yay I love fall! I find myself in a bit of a reading slump right now and I hate that. I don't get into many but ever since struggling through The Historian it has been rough. So now I am trying to read The Journal of Dora Damage for my A-Z challenge and it is not working very well for me. Sad day....

Alissa that is a horrible reason to let someone go. Good grief I want to be around people who make me happy not mad or agitated. Makes me wonder about people sometimes.

830pm. Downloaded the goodreads app upgrade on iPad. Seems to be better.

10:10 p.m. Errr! Don't even want to talk about the Apple upgrade. I have an iPad that is a little older (2) and since I took the upgrade I can't watch my Hulu, Netflix, or Time Warner through the TV set. I can get sound but no video and the techs can't seem to help. Anyway, enough of the negative.

Had a great day today but haven't had time to read yet. I might try to get an hour or so in before bed. Getting cool at night now.

Eating lunch and checking GR then off to start City of Bones which I am doing as a buddy read. I also picked up Clans from the library today, one I've been waiting for them to get in, and may read that too, as they are very quick reads.
Found a couple of good finds in charity (thrift) shops today too.. Angela's Ashes for 35p and Sir Thursday and Superior Saturday for £2 for both :) Been looking for the former for a long time, but didnt want to buy it new as I dont know if I will like it or not.. I just need Lord Sunday to complete that set from Garth Nix :)

I gotta get up early tomorrow morning and get ready for a funeral, sadly one of my aunt's passed away, it was a very big shock to all of us because she was very young, I was very saddened to hear about it, but I'm trying to stay strong for my aunt's family, (I should mention that she wasn't blood related to me), but she was still family, and to me family is everything. I always say enjoy every moment because you just never know what life will throw your way.

Well I dislocated it snowboarding in Montana years ago and had to have TWO surgeries on it recently. It's still a little stiff.

I hate the dentist, don't you Erin? I don't know if this is the first time you've had cavities but I had my first two about 3 years ago, and I was scared to death when they had to do the filling, but I just wanted to tell you it's not as scary as it sounds.

2:27PM Just got back from the gym, had a good workout, and just as I got off the phone with my Mom to have her come pick me up the fire alarm went off and scared the crap out of me, so they had to evacuate the building, luckily there was no danger, and we only had to stay outside for about 2 minutes, so it was probably a false alarm. Now I'm just hanging out at home and in a while I'm gonna help my Mom prepare for dinner, Spaghetti and Texas Toast tonight.

Amy is keeping him home today and then tomorrow he will go back to school. Doctor said it was nothing serious. There has been 2 cases of the Entero virus confirmed in Denton so it is scary.
