10:28PM I have to say I am having a hard time with this review book, Obstacles. I love the premise of the book but it just seems far too unrealistic to me. But since it is a review book I am gonna finish it. I am halfway through it.

8:38AM A quiet morning after Aves and Kay left for school. Made a big breakfast for them. Aeverie stayed here last night because Amy had an early dentist apt and could not take them this AM, so they got on the bus. Aeverie is really enjoying school I am so glad about that. Gonna read today I think and then make a cake for my Son Derek because it is his birthday today. We will take him out to dinner this weekend.

Just in from seeing my eldest boy over at his Dad's. I've gotten a bit read on my kobo today, but I really want to crack on with Heart-Shaped Box but the OH wants to play CoD with me on Xbox, so I wont get much read tonight. Hoping to read a chunk of it tomorrow when my 2 year old starts nursery.

Corey | 1411 comments 4:45PM My social worker just dropped my off at home and I just found out that my Grandmother's sister and brother-in-law have been harassing her over the phone, a while back my Grandmother wanted to move back to her hometown because she didn't feel very welcome down here and her sister and brother-in-law got her in preparation to move back, about a week ago my Grandmother changed her mind because she want's to remain close to my mom and I, and her in-laws took it the wrong way and they made a few phone calls to her house today and started harassing her, I was so disgusted and angry about it, my Mom brought her over to our house to spend the night tonight because she's scared to stay by herself, and I'm scared for her. My Mom is gonna try to get a restraining order on her in-laws because this can't go on, anyway I don't want to go to far into the details but I'm asking everyone to say a prayer for my Grandmother, and if anyone else who has a family member or friend with Alzheimer's disease, just keep telling yourself that it's not their fault.

Hi Corey,

Totally random of me to pop in a reply (I'm usually just a stalker and add books to my lists), but I just wanted to let you know that I'm keeping your Grandma and you and your family in my prayers. I've been in a very similar situation with my Mom, she was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's and Dementia 3 years ago. She continued to live on her own for a year, but is now in a nursing home. I'm just a click away if you'd like to talk or vent. I've also found some books that can be quite helpful in caring for family and loved ones. ~ Tonya

Yeah I happened to look at some of the different books you've read and from the looks of it we like a lot of the same genres. Anyway the thing about my Grandmother is some days she'll wake up and not know what day it is, she's just so confused right now, but thank you very much for thinking of me. I'm hanging in there though, and thanks for becoming my friend.

7:29AM

So yesterday I spilled my drink on my new laptop. luckily with these types of keyboards they can pretty much keep the liquid out of the most important parts. my space bar is still sticking some after hub took the keyboard off and tried to clean it up. UGH! But it could have been worse I guess.

Victor That sucks Janie! I like Biology class I just don't like the HW and quizzes. We got our group assignments today and my group got a fat F. My job was to write the conclusion and the conclusion for our experiment was graded 4/5. So I contributed a B.

6:12PM I auditioned for Speech Team today and made the team. I'm so happy!!

Yay Aves feels better and is back to school. He missed it. I think it was just allergies for him. But he is better now, just a little scratchy. But woke up without a fever, so yay!

People uptight today because of recent threats on the country. It makes me wonder why these terrorists are even allowed to exist. If I could I would take them all out.

The laptop is fine thank goodness. We have only just made the first payment on it. I have never had this kind of thing happen before so I about cried when it happened this time. Hub popped out the keyboard and now it is fine. Some keys are still a little sticky but getting better. Thankful that they design these keyboards like this since it pretty much protects the rest of the puter.

Andrea | 233 comments 9:50AM I am remembering my feelings about 9-11-01. I was living in Misawa, Japan. It is an airbase on the main island of Honshu. Our military channels had been off air because of the typhoon that went through so I went to bed early. I remember being woken up by the phone. My Mom was calling from the states. She wanted to know if I saw what had happened in New York. She said an airplane had hit the World Trade Center in New York. I remember turning the tv back on and it was back on the air. I saw the second plane hit and knew instantly I had to get off the phone. I remember a military official calling to tell us we were on threat-con Charlie. Then a few minutes later they called back and said we were on threat-con Delta. Which is the highest level of alert. We were ordered to stay put. Only essential military workers were to be on the roads. We were restricted to base. We had a curfew. It was crazy. I remember how upset I felt. How angry I felt. How I watched all the footage and just wept. I will never forget 9-11-01. It will be with me always.

It is 4:28 p.m. and I'm hoping to stay out of the hospital long enough to re-connect with all my good friends on GR's. Just got finished reading Elixir by Ted Galdi and I'm debating my next book to read. Might have to go back to some YA so I can catch up on my goal of 52 books this year. I am way behind after all the health issues. I would really like to accomplish my goal this year as I didn't quite make it last year.
