What time is it and what are you doing?
7:12AM Just got a text from Kay. She left her phone on the bus yesterday and she just got it from the bus driver this AM so YAY! Gonna read today, what else s new right?
8:22AM At work right now. Gonna try and read between down times. Gotta work on the company website for a bit, but gonna get back to Game by Barry Lyga. It is the second book in the Jasper Dent series. I think I like this book better than the first. So good :)
7:12 am
Laying on couch until I have to go to school. Literature and art history today. I've started reading The Night Circus and The Map Of Time. I am enjoying both already:)

10:08 a.m. Enjoying my week off work. Nothing like laying around in sweats, watching tv, reading, and uh, doing absolutely nothing. I already do not want to go back... i feel next Tuesday creeping up on me already. :O

8:52PM The house is winding down and it is time for me to read some more. I am really enjoying Opal. My son texted me and told me that things have gotten rough between him and his father and he will be coming home sooner than expected if he can swing his plane ticket. UGH I hate that he stayed there and now this. Apparently he still owes him and his girlfriend $80 and if he does not have it by Friday his dad is throwing him out. Some people are just not meant to be dads. *smh*
What a joke. Your right Janie, some are way too selfish/self absorbed to understand kids. Glad he is coming home :) and that Kay got her phone back. Phew!Just getting caught up on reviews and e-mail. My youngest started college yesterday. He has a full class load but is cramming it into 2 days a week and is doing construction while not in school for some extra bucks.
8:04AM I am really enjoying these quiet mornings all to myself. It is beautiful outside. Having some breakfast, and then I will be reading more of Opal.
9:26 a.m. Enjoying my time off. I love doing nothing, but I am starting to "hear" that things have not been going so well at work. People who are covering my job as a triage nurse/patient calls; are not doing the job. patients aren't being called. Prescriptions not being handled. There will be hell to pay if I come back to a mess. They better fix it. Period.Alondra does NOT play, when it comes to work.
Janie wrote: "8:52PM The house is winding down and it is time for me to read some more. I am really enjoying Opal. My son texted me and told me that things have gotten rough between him and his father and he wil..."Very sorry to hear about that Janie.
7:07 p.m. Getting my read on. trying to read up all of these kindle books, that have been sitting on the reader for 1+ years... ugh. :/
8:37PM Just had a work out, now enjoying some coffee and about to get into some Through the Zombie Glass. This is he last book for this month on my TBR So YAY! I had a good month of reading.
Thanks Corey! He will be ok. We sure do miss him and hopefully he will be home soon.

Janie when you do your work out, do you do it at home or is there a gym that you go to? I only ask because I go to a gym. It feels good to work out and let out any stress you may have.
Corey I work out at home, I wish that I could afford a gym, but unfortunately that is not in the budget and we have a gym not too far down the road. Working out makes me feel good about myself and my health.
6:58AM We got some rain early this morning which we really needed. Kay is up for school, her sister takes her in the morning. She gets her class ring today. So she is pretty excited about that. Plan on reading more of Through the Zombie Glass. So far it is ok.
11:15 a.m. I cannot wait until tomorrow to go shopping for books. it will have to be today!! I will go forth and buy books!! :-D

6:10 p.m. Just got back from a new UBS called 2nd and Charles. Pretty awesome store. It has used movies, COMICS; so plenty of graphic novels, and a HUGE selection of books. they have a larger selection of sci fi, than many places; but horror once again is fused in with regular fiction authors.
finding McCammon, Maberry, Laymon, etc; is like finding a needle in a haystack. When I find them, I grab them up quickly. :D
Alondra I heard about 2nd hand Charles from a book tuber. Did you find the barrel of free books there? He said that he would always hit the free books too and see what they had in there. Anyway glad you came across it and it worked out for you. I agree too it is nit always easy to McCammon or Maberry, but our UBS has a ton of Laymon.
11:59PM Gonna read a bit more before bed. I am enjoying this book a lot. The male lead though is getting on my nerves. Oh well what can ya do. Night Good Read Buddies!
9:07 a.m. Drinking coffee, checking updates and about to read. everyone have a great day, and a fun holiday weekend. :)
10:58AM Have a tripped planned for Sam's today. We need to stock up for this future Zombie Apocalypse in Code Zero HAHA! After that not entirely sure. I know I want to read at some point today!
11:29PM Had a good day today, tomorrow my son comes back home. YAY We will pick him up at 12:15PM. Then we plan on cooking out. Should be a great day. Now I am gonna read some more.
Yay. Sounds like a great day Janie. Caught a chest cold. Argh :( going to try to finish The Long Way Home
today while trying to rest.
Hey Janie, I was on a page that said you were looking for a sci-fi for your son from a long long time ago. If he is still into that genre Fuzzy Nation
is almost a classic about a guy who is untouchable in his abilities at his job and a nonconformist a$$, who finds himself in a position that will show him how he still can give a damn about anything besides himself and unfolds his humility at the same time. Yes, it becomes a story about fuzzy creatures but is more about the guy and why they picked him to represent them in a universal court. Oh, (view spoiler)
8:55 a.m. Had a great time at friends house yesterday, getting tipsy with her and her sisters. it was a big party, but we had a side party of champagne.... don't ask.I hope hubby starts grilling soon.... i am snacky already!! is that wrong??
Hehe sounds like you had fun. Is that the champagne that has a Jell-O shot dropped in it? Feed a hangover. Lol
11:43AM Been busy this morning with my Document Your Life video, and then I had to do 2 more for my Booktube vlog. LOL No plans for today since we had our cook out for Labor day yesterday. So gonna chillax today, read some more and/or play an online game that hub and I play together. Getting through laundry quickly.
Susan for my son to read anything is really a milestone. LOL He goes through spurts but I will tell him about the book. I will let you know if he actually shows interest. LOL

9:38 p.m. Hey everyone, sorry I've been kind of quiet the past few days, had kind of a rough weekend, as I said a while back my mom and I have my Grandmother moved into a house right across the street from us because she's got Alzheimer's disease and now it's getting worse every day, we hate seeing her like this, we're thinking of getting her into assisted living, where someone can take care of her 24/7. Like I said things have just been stressful for both my mom and I, but I'm trying to stay positive, because that's all you can do.
Sorry to hear that Corey. I went through the same thing with my Grandma a couple of years ago and it's a really stressful time. From our point of view we took the really difficult decision to move her into a more supportive environment. Have to say Grandma has never looked so good. The constant monitoring of safety and three good meals a day have made all the difference to her.
Stay strong and I am sure your mum appreciates all the support.

Thank you very much Sam, that means a lot.
Corey, we went through that with a close family member also. Although it's a difficult decision, they do need constant help and monitoring sometimes, more than even the most caring family can provide. You seem like a lovely kind grandson, I'm sure you are a lot of help to your mom during this tough time.
10:58 am
At school getting some homework done here. I had a quiz today in my introduction to stagecraft class, don't think I did too hot on it. Oh well. Corey just know that you and your mom are making the right choice when it comes to helping your grandma. As much as you love her there is only some much either one of you can and there is nothing wrong with seeking professional help in these matters. My
Family went through the exact same thing years ago with my grandma when she had ALS so I know how you feel. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers:)

Thank you Janessa, that means a lot to me.
Sorry to hear about your Grandma Corey, that is one of the worst diseases out there. Keep your chin up and I will keep you and family in my prayers.
2:23PM Having a relaxed quiet day with Hub. He took today off too so he ended up with a 4 day weekend. Gonna get to the book and try to finish it. It is the start of Tuesday talks for those of you who do vlogs or you have a book blog. Here is the link to the group. https://www.goodreads.com/group/show/...
