6:32 PM my lovely father has taken over the tv for his nightly bonding I was reading earlier but stopped about an hour ago. Now I am texting my significant other and about to lay in bed until I fall asleep Happy Easter!

2:03am. Trouble sleeping so I thought I'd try and catch up with everyone. Chuck, I love to read at night when it's raining out. I'm taking kind of a break from reading. I just can't concentrate. I stare at the pages and just can't keep track of the plot. I hope this doesn't last too long. Happy Monday everyone.

8:05 p.m. and thank God my daughter felt sorry for me today. She bought the pain meds my insurance wouldn't cover. I just took two, so I might not last long tonight on GR's. I don't care. Need some relief in the worst of ways. Plan on reading for maybe an hour before I get drowsy. Dr. appointment tomorrow and I'm riding a bus, so up at 5:00 a.m.

11:50PM Have been reading Death Whispers. It is a pretty slow moving book for me, but should have it done by tomorrow some time. Had a beautiful day today weather wise, but it got pretty humid. Just waiting for Amy to get of work right now. So I will be crawling into bed soon.

Yes, but be warned that series can be addictive and cause side effects like sleep deprivation. :-)

7:03 p.m. Went to the doctor today and having emergency surgery tomorrow. He wanted to do it today but I didn't have anybody to pick me up on such short notice.

Came home, read a little, and took a nap. Now I'm cooking dinner and reading.

9:37PM Wow I am so glad I finished that book. I just wanted it to end. Anyway had a pretty good day today. Everyone is asleep and now it is really quiet and I love these times especially if I have a busy day. So I am gonna jump into Brother Odd.

12:10 p.m. Thanks Janie! I'm gonna read for about an hour before I leave for the hospital. Taking my tablet with me because every time they tell me it will be outpatient or just a day they lie. Have books will travel.

17:15pm just got home about 20 minutes ago, put all my new purchases away, I went to a bookshop, surprisingly I only bought 1 book. Although I did buy 3 book related badges that were super cute. (I got one that had a cartoon Mad Hatter on it, one that had a picture of a cartoon Jane Eyre and another that said 'Will work for books'
Just finished writing my newest review for my blog and will probably try and finish my book tonight.

1:21pm. Having a lazy day. I couldn't sleep last night, so I slept from 6 to 11 this morning. Now drinking coffee and enjoying GR. I'm really struggling with reading right now. I can't seem to concentrate on the printed word. I've been watching a lot of baseball with my hub--we both find it very soothing. I'd be lost without my puppy Charlie. It's amazing how much comfort and support I get from him (my hub as well). He's been hovering around both of us, you can tell he's concerned. If I'm really spaced out with grief, he comes over and cuddles with me, or brings a toy to try and distract me. He's such a treasure!

Cindy, best of luck with your surgery. I'm sending you good vibes and positive energy. Hope you can get some much needed relief.

10:45 p.m watching 'Your Inner Fish' on PBS, this one is about the human/ape ancestors. Last week's was about reptiles and the beginnings of mammals. Very interesting! Slacking on my reading lately, gotta catch back up, maybe will work on that some tomorrow. I had to kick up the heaters, it got a little chilly today, but I didn't want to mess with starting a fire, we've only got enough wood for a little one anyway. So up go the baseboards. Killer on the electric bill they are, but I did switch out all the incandescent bulbs for CFLs all around the house, and it dropped $50 from the last month! I'd be happier if I could afford the LED bulbs, but at $35 for one bulb, that's not gonna happen... :o

9:50 PM. I did some gardening this afternoon, and think I got a little hot. We had an easy dinner tonight, and now Mark is on the phone with his mom. I think once he is done, I am going to get in bed and read. I hope I can read another one hundred pages tonight. It's heating up here in Texas a bit, so we got some Popsicles. I had one and it was yummy. It was nice and refreshing after pulling weeds for two hours. I've almost got them all dug up in the back. The yard is looking good! Some of the seeds I have planted are starting to come up, so I can't wait to see how pretty the flowers turn out to be. I don't have much planned for tomorrow, except for some dishes, laundry, and finishing up The Coffin Dancer. Well, if I don't get back on here later, goodnight GR!

11:05PM Had a Chicken fajita rice dish for dinner. Always yummy! Passed out my books for World Book Night, I nearly forgot about it till Kay reminded me. After that we went to the playground. Came home and had a good work out, read a bit. Now that Aeverie is asleep I will read a bit more. Brother Odd is a little draggy for me, not sure what the problem is. But I will finish it. Would like to finish it some time tomorrow.

7:42AM Have to take Delilah for shots today. We are a bit slow on that, but we did not include that into the budget. Anyway we will do that and then I will come home and read.

Chuck glad to hear I am not the only one not enjoying this one. I always go into books with high expectations if I have been enjoying a particular series. I need to stop doing that because sometimes they don't get better and sometimes they get worse.

9:06 AM. Good morning, GR! I didn't read much last night as I had hoped. I was quite tired, and ended up sleeping. It was probably all for the better, so I can read today. Around four in the morning, I woke up to both of my arms being numb from sleeping on them, and very sweaty. I hate when that happens. The bedroom fan was on, so I'm not sure what that was all about. I hope I'm not getting sick or something. Anyways, I've already had my cereal for breakfast, and I think I'm going to open some juice, instead of coffee this morning. My plan for today hasn't changed: I plan to read and try to finish The Coffin Dancer today. As long as I don't have many distractions, I should get through a lot of it before Mark gets home. Okay, enough talk. More reading. Haha! Happy Thursday, Bookworm Buddies!
