I really enjoyed it. It starts like a standard zombie apocalypse. But there's a twist! No zombies. Definitely worth a peek!

Turn of the Screw is one of those stories that I adore, being a huge fan of gothic fiction. However, Mr James is very wordy and can nearly lose you.

I really enjoyed this. The stories range from light and funny (heavy on the irony) to larger narratives about the future of Man.

Wow. This book is incredible and I did not see the twist at the end coming. But be warned this is at the least a 6 kleenex cry at the end.
It's been a long time since I read a book where I wanted to go back to page 1 and start over. But I really would like to do that with this one.

Really enjoyed it. Great adventure. But the format can be annoying for someone with impaired eyesight. I wonder if it would've been better as an audio without all the visual tidbits they give you in the book.

It's a supernatural fantasy Western set in 1880. Not too far into it, but so far so good. The characters are well-written and I like the writing style. It's the first in a series about a ghost hunter.

This is a fun light hearted, funny, and sexy romance! The hero is an author of spy thrillers, the profits of which he uses to try and prop up his huge family and falling down English castle.

I'm so glad I finally listened to this. The 1951 film is one of my favorite films of all time!

I really liked this mystery. It has thrills, chills, romance, and dogs!

I posted here a week ago, so you are not alone. :)
I don't always read genre fiction, so I usually just put what I'm reading in my Feed. I do read your posts here, though.

It's a real page-turner! I would read nearly 100 pages at a sitting it's just that good. I highly recommend it to those who like crime/political thrillers.

Devlin the Barber
It's a mystery Sensation Novel, with a paranormal twist. Lots of fun!

This is my second book by this author, but apparently it was her debut novel in 1997. Wow! Is it good!!

I liked it, but it's been at least 20 years since I read it.

I think my favorite new books this year were:
The Ballad of Black Tom
City of Blades (I cannot recommend this series enough.)
Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End
Lab Girl
Arcadia

Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said
Othello
The Republic
It's a bit of an odd list, but they all tie together in a way. Some of my recent reads referenced Othello and PKD made a few comments on theophany, philosophy, and realities in VALIS, which I found interesting. Anyway...that's what is on my desk!
