I've merged the authors into Peter Høeg.
If you're a librarian you can do this, by the way. Just correct the incorrect spelling. If there is an existing author by the corrected spelling, it will ask you which you want to keep, then just choose it.
i do have librarian status, but i always get nervous about screwing something up!! i tend to use my status to add book descriptions, author bios, images... filling in missing information sort of stuff that is mostly idiot-proof. haha!! thank you so much for helping, scott!
Jennifer, this must be a common occurence as last night alone I found Ivan Doug and Ivan Doig who both wrote The Whistling Season and Nancy Corrigan and Kelly Corrigan who both wrote The Middle Place. I came to discussions like this for help as, like you, I am a librarian nervous of making mistakes and therefore making more work for the experienced librarians who patrol these discussions. Nancy Corrigan and Ivan Doug have both been corrected and merged into the true authors thanks to librarians like Scott.
hi sarah!!yes, last week i had a Jo Nesbo v. Jo Nesbø situation i came across, which was also so very promptly and helpfully addressed for me here. with this one today, it has now made me curious about people creating records with errors. which is a shame.
right?? like you, i don't want to create any more work for the librarians with better experience. i just really don't want to screw up any records.
i am hoping someone can help sort out these issues concerning author Peter Høeg. it appears a distinct profile, with attributed titles, has been created erroneously under the name: Peter He̜g. Peter He̜g is a typo.
