I really enjoyed this book and the ones after. Fair enough if you didn't enjoy it but to create a group called "Why does this book even exist?" is really harsh. Clearly some people enjoyed it or it wouldn't have sold. I thought it was a different and good take on the "werewolf" and I enjoyed the way the story unfolded through all three books and how all the new characters were introduced in the next two books. Sam and Grace are one of my favourite "couple characters." And I am a twilight fan as well and to compare that to shiver is just wrong, the only thing they have in common is the two main characters are in love. That's my opinion anyway...

Cecilia wrote: "Sorry guys didnt mean for it too sound harsh......That was very nicely put. You acknowledged that your title was a mistake, and now you know some people really loved it. (I liked it myself). But you also gave people a chance to express their different opinions. As Martha says, "That's a good thing".
Well I thought this book was good and I can't wait to read the other two. I'll agree with the above comment, I was gonna toss the book to one side because of the short chapters. But I've got to say I'm glad I didn't.

Why would it be ok to express completely positive opinion on something, and it wouldn't be ok to express completely negative opinion on something else?
Cecilia wrote: "Just wished this book was worth reading. Characters need a lot of work and the story is so pointless."I agree. If the author spent more time editing and revising this, it has the potential to be a fantastic book.
The book is fine, but not so special. First book is a bit...boring. No, really, it's boring. But I continued to read the books cuz I was wondering how will the series end. And I was bit disappointed with the ending, and the last line. It kinda left many questions open and it just doesn't seem like it ended. But the 2nd book was OK. What I hated the most is so many POV's. It kinda seemed that most of characters have the same mind. But it was ok. I didn't hate it. Not that much...
I didn't like the book at all. At first I tried not to notice the bad things about it, but when it got to the point of loving the wolf more than the boy, I just couldn't do it anymore :D Good that the rest of you enjoyed it, though :)

agreed!
In my opinion I don't see how people couldn't enjoy this book. I thought it was so different from most young adult novels, which is one of the major reasons I loved them so much. & I definitely don't see any comparison to Twilight, I feel like every book nowadays is compared to the Twilight series. Just because there are werewolves in it doesn't mean it's another Twilight book. The story was beautiful, and the characters were far from boring. If you didn't finish the first book, or did but never read the others, you can't really judge them seeing as you have no clue what happens or how the characters develope.

"Every book starts from page 1. If the first 100 pages are crap, then it is a crappy book, no matter what happens on page 300.
(I am saying this as a general rule, I haven't read "Shiver" so I have no idea is it good or bad.)
