I just finished reading this book and noticed that the description was in French instead of in English for this English edition. I went to change it and noticed that the same person who had (apparently, if I'm reading the log correctly) changed the number of pages too. I checked the librarian manual but I'm not sure whether I should include the empty pages as well as the reader's guide to the page numbers or not.

Rivka had fixed it once almost two years ago, so I thought I'd ask to make sure.

By a reader's guide, you mean one of those Q&A for bookclubs sections at the end? Yes, that would be counted.

There's a two page for Q&A but there's also a three page letter from Diana L. Paxson and another page with a paragraph "about the author". Numbering stops on 876 but the only way for the page count to be 912 is to include all the blank pages.

If the letter is about this book specifically, then I would count it, and the about the author page too. Which does sound like 912. (The blank pages are between the last numbered page and the letter and about the author, yes?)

No. The blank pages are after the "about the author" page which is the last page that has text. It's a library book but it doesn't look like anyone has ripped out any pages. If I count the ones with text I get 885.
