Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments I'd personally like to see Davyn get his own book. If I remember right, Stryker implies in his book that Davyn is gay, and since Sherrilyn came out with an m/m book for The League, I'd like to see more LGBT books in the DH series too. :)

(I'm all for books for Sav, Simi, Jared, Jaden, and Urian!)

message 102: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Yea, that would be great for Davyn. But before him Zoe for sure. She is kick butt. So would love to see a F/F take on things.

message 103: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments Oh I remember her! Isn't she one of the stronger hunters? Like 'I can beat up another hunter and not flinch' strong? Gah I need to reread the books but I definitely remember seeing her pop up and I would love a book on her! :D

message 104: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Hmm, not sure if she was stronger or not in that way. But I do know she popped up in Ravyn's book and left a great impression, lol. And I just think it would be great to get fair share of female hunters out there too.

message 105: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments Yeah that would definitely be a bonus. We don't see enough lady hunters, even if it is implied they exist (and naturally we got to see Danger). Need more on the front lines showing the boys how it's done. ;)

message 106: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Damn straight. And then Davyn for sure. Who would you see for his possible love interest if he were to get a story?

message 107: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments I don't know at the moment honestly...I just thought of Urian and now I'm laughing oh my god. Though now I'm wanting fanfic of that. (This fandom needs more fanfic in general!)

message 108: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments LOL, wow now that would be something. I've read a fanfic of Blay and Qhuinn's story from the BDB books and man that was a trip. So big wow for Urian. But hey never know, so many surprise couples in this series for me at times.

message 109: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments Funny thing is, Sherrilyn could probably make it work. She's had a test run with m/m so I think she's learned what to avoid and how to make it work, and if Davyn were to get with a bisexual man that would make me happier because we don't get enough positive representation of bisexuals.

(Not gonna lie, I like to think of Zarek as bisexual/pansexual myself, but headcanons don't count.)

message 110: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments well that would be quite the twist for sure. Nothing wrong with adding more flavor to things.

Wow, didn't even consider that for Z at all. Now I would think of any one, maybe Ias. I mean he was real old school/world first DH. So I'm sure after what happened with his wife he was open to other options.

message 111: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments Definitely!

I see it for Z mainly as I see him as the type to take love from any source, especially with his history. Acheron I see as being more demisexual (especially as he gets turned off easily by reading someone's thoughts). Zarek's main barrier romantically is trust, but physically he's willing to...bone anything that walks. As long as he's not facing them that is.

Ias likely was even before, he's greek if I remember right? And I think we both know about the greeks reputation for taking male lovers. ;) (Oh god I hope that's brought up in front of Kyrian and Julian at some point. I know Nick asks Kyrian and Ash if they're a couple at one point in CON.)

message 112: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Ah, I see what your getting at with Z. I would tend to agree with your point on things. But will play devil's advocate a bit and say I don't quite see the bi aspect with him. Because although he was willing to get it on with just about any one from behind. I feel like his negative history with so many male figures in his life would likely cause him to shun away men as lovers in his life. Even after being healed and capable of defending himself.

LOL, yes. I still laugh out loud when Nick asked about them being a couple. It was so hilarious to me. And the fact that he thought they wanted him cause he was young and they thought they could use him like a prostitute. Soooo far from the right ideal.

message 113: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments Hmm, yeah (a bit like with Styxx). Though one could argue the same with women in his life. It was a woman who cast the final stone. Though I also tend to see bisexuality in my favourite characters (projection, it's a fun thing). That and I think seeing feral Zarek go at another man would be interesting (I do have a ship outside of him and Astrid I'm fond of ehehe).

*cackles* Oh Nick. Little did he know they wanted him for something much bigger and dangerous.

message 114: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Ooooh, who do you see Zarek with? And wait a second, since we are speaking about bi characters. Wasn't there a scene where Stryker was caught in a bed of a bunch of men and women? Makes me wonder if he is still doing that while the ol' wifey is away torturing somebody. Hmmm.

Dude I just wonder where it will all end or go down with Nick. He went from likable, to heart hurts, to jackass, to ?!?!?!!! and that is putting it mildly.

message 115: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments ngl I kinda ship him and Acheron. I like them as friends, and in a feral, sexual kinda thing. And I feel bad since I love them with their wives but I also like the idea of them biting and scratching at one another like animals. XD;

Ohh! I did not remember that (god I really need to reread all the books, I forgot so many things!) but it's possible. I doubt being together will keep him from it. He is loyal but I'm sure they have an open relationship. They seem like the type to have a mutual agreement of sorts. Hell, they'd probably share.

As far as I remember, not even Sherrilyn knows just yet. She's thinking he'll go dark side, but the muse is still fighting it. So it's all up to Nick right now, whether or not he'll keep down the dark path.

message 116: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments That's interesting. Since we are talking about this, I think I could see Z surprisingly enough with Sasha. The whole hate/hate thing going on til it turned to love.

No worries, we are doing each book one at a time as a book of the month thing we do around here. So feel free to dive in and comment and chat. Good idea on them sharing. Would save time on explaining things for sure.

Yea, true. I recall her saying that as well. I still can't help wondering though.

message 117: by Christina (new)

Christina (littleartemis) | 18 comments That could work too XD they seem to have a weird love/hate thing though. In that they act like they hate one another but really they'd die for one another. And on the topic of this thread, a book for Sasha would be awesome too! Maybe see more about his past.

Definitely. Though their relationship is one of mutual respects I they would most likely talk it out first then make their relationship open. Gotta have the trust and communication :)

Yeah, I think we're all wondering where he's going. And I think she mentioned it in a video for one of the ebooks? For a short story about Nick.

message 118: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Smith (rlsauthor) | 626 comments I don't like Zoe, so I wouldn't read an F/F one about her. Heck, F/F is the one I won't read ever. I'm all about the hero and usually could care less about the heroine. And I really don't like Zoe.

The whole Greek m/m thing is actually not true. If you indulged in it, you hid it. Because it would ruin you and your family. The one on the bottom was usually a teenage boy, and if it ever got out what he was doing he was good as dead. It was very emasculating and put you on the same social level as a woman, which meant you had no value whatsoever.

Historical evidence of m/m relationships in ancient Greece and Rome does not line up with the gay lobby narrative.

message 119: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Your choice not to read a Zoe story, Rachel. But I have to ask. Even if you do read the stories for the hero. Don't you ever feel that it feels a bit too "boys club" at times even though we know that DHs can be any race, belief system, or gender.

Thanks too for the heads up on the historical account of things. But still does not mean that there couldn't be a flip on things in modern times in regards to gay relationships for a Greek warrior. Could be something that could be explored.

message 120: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Smith (rlsauthor) | 626 comments I don't feel like it gets to be too much of a boy's club. I prefer his POV across the board. Might have something to do with my early reading habits of Hardy Boys and Tom Clancy.

It did happen quite a bit in the Roman army under some emperors, but it wasn't something you advertised or talked about. It was mostly in the armpit stations on the edge of the empire.

message 121: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Ah, then a matter of perspective then. As the male voice is one you are more familiar with. I've read I think a book or two done by men. And even read quite a few books done from the male perspective. And contextually they were good to alright to me. It's just when it is a series done and there are more than 5 guys, does the dialogue or antics don't seem quite as rich as they can be to me. Because the emotional element sometimes is tamped down too far.

True enough. Nothing to really advertise in the past or present. As sexual orientation is just who someone is in my opinion. But I mean that since times are more modern and the daimons have a bit of a new lease on life given they can go out in the sun more. So I would think that would open things up a bit more for them and even Davyn if he were to hit up a bar and meet someone.

message 122: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Smith (rlsauthor) | 626 comments I'm between Acheron and Stryker, so I haven't met Davyn yet. Had to make myself take an extended break because I'm a novelist and I was starting to mimic Sherri. Never a good thing to do!

When I finish my current book I'm diving back into DH and reading more CoN.

message 123: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Ah ok. In that case Davyn, is Stryker's second in command and Urian's friend. He's had a few moments of being in the spotlight a little bit.

Oh cool. Since this isn't the thread for it, but I'm curious what your book will be about. Could you post about it over here? https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/... So we don't get too far off topic in this thread

message 124: by Rachel (new)

Rachel Smith (rlsauthor) | 626 comments Sure!

message 125: by Ainoa (new)

Ainoa (queenoferebor) | 21 comments I don't know if she has been mentioned, but I'd love to read Artemis' story. There has to be a reason for her to be such a bitch. It's very easy to hate her, but I have the feeling that Sherrilyn could totally turn things around, and maybe not make us love her, but makes us understand her. Ever since I read Acheron I have this need for knowing what she feels; I mean, Acheron rejected her and Kat when the latter was just a baby. How did she feel as a mother? As a woman? I think we got several glimpses of how "cool" she can be in Styxx, but other than that, she's the bad guy in the story. I believe Kenyon said that there would be an Artemis' book at some poing, but at this rate, it might happen in ten years time xD

That being said, the second character I want to know more about since the beginning of the series is Marissa Hunter! She was mega-super-duper important in the first books and know she's been totally forgotten. I know that we have to wait until she grows up, but come on! (Pss, psss, let me tell you a secret, I actually shipped Ash and Marissa and thought she was going to be THE girl. Yes, I know, I know.. I have to admit that Tory was not exactly what I was expecting...:P )

message 126: by Ainoa (new)

Ainoa (queenoferebor) | 21 comments P.S I totally forgot Apollymi. She needs her own book ASAP. Personally, I'd love Ash to free her and start up the apocalypse. That would be a major badass book.

message 127: by Nette (new)

Nette | 202 comments Cael and Amaranda. I'm dying to know what ever happened to them!!!!

message 128: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Haha, you, me, and the masses. :D

message 129: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Smith | 16 comments Cael and Amaranda is in Dev's book No Mercy, I just read the part where they showed up, then I had to take a break. If I remember correctly (read no mercy the day it came out) there is a big revelation about them, oh and Someone just got caught in bed with Arti! I have a hunch now that Arti will get redeemed in a future book and who's book it will be.

message 130: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Smith | 16 comments Noa wrote: "P.S I totally forgot Apollymi. She needs her own book ASAP. Personally, I'd love Ash to free her and start up the apocalypse. That would be a major badass book."

I just get this feeling that there is something between Apollymi and Savitar. I want both of their books but mostly I want Jaden's book like now! I think Arti will end up with someone that she is sleeping with in No Mercy, but I don't want to mention names for those who has not read it yet. Plus there was a scene with her and this guy in another book where they bonded. I see it happening but it will be years down the road from now when their story comes out.

If you read Styxx there is even more Artie redemption there too.

message 132: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Smith | 16 comments I did read Styxx and have blocked out most of it. There was just way too much Apollo in that book! I have never hated a person albeit a fictional person so much in my life. That is one "thing" that I would not mind going to jail for murdering.

message 133: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments Rebecca wrote: "I did read Styxx and have blocked out most of it. There was just way too much Apollo in that book! I have never hated a person albeit a fictional person so much in my life. That is one "thing" that..."

No kidding. Apollo is definitely a major SOB that hopefully gets everything and more of what he deserves being down there with Apollymi. But I liked how in the end Artie was there to see to him getting put away as he should have been a long time ago.

message 134: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca Smith | 16 comments That must of been a part of the book that I skipped over. I just could not handle that book. Out of all of her books I think she went way overboard on Styxx. Just when I got one image out of my head their she was nailing it back into place. I could of did with out some of the scenes between Styxx and Apollo.

message 135: by Dhfan4life, Honey Bun (new)

Dhfan4life | 10411 comments True enough. Though I think she showed that just cause you think it's worse for one or other people. You never fully know the extent of someone else's worse day either til you walk in their shoes.

message 136: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn (katelynpreece) | 532 comments Okay here goes: I'm just going to list the first 10 or more characters that come to mind:

1) Savitar

2) Simi

3) Chi

4) Ethon

5) Blade

6) Artemis

7) Apollymi

8) Xirena

9) Jarred

10) Jaden

11) Zebulon

12) Takeshi

13) Zakar

14) Thorn

15) Urian

16) Spawn

17) Remi

And yep there's more, but I can't put my finger on them at the moment.

message 137: by Slick (new)

Slick | 456 comments Apparently we have already met Simis future husband... I swear I read that somewhere!!

Caleb malphas, Xev, Aaron, Thorn, Jared, Savitar, Zeke, Ethon, Chi and Nick but his will only be out after CON... So an extra CON book!!

message 138: by Nicole (new)

Nicole | 119 comments Zakar would be cool, he just seemed to drop off the face of the earth and I'd really love to know what happened to him in the end. Zeke would be cool, too (aside from the ones you have already listed :) )

message 139: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn (katelynpreece) | 532 comments I'd love Otto Carvaletti to have a story. I mean when he dodged a dark hunters flat bolt -given the fact this dark hunter is skilled with her crossbow being from the 5th century BC and all - it showed me that Otto is pretty damned skilled in combat ability.

Also Tabitha using her empath skills showed that Otto is very similar to Valerius, even though he tries to hide it. But at the same time Otto is his own individual which will make it interesting.

I fell in love with him when he dodged the flat bolt....because seeing the Otto who wore obnoxious Hawaiian T-shirts to piss of Valerius, to seeing the badass Otto who threatened to kill the female dark hunter if she got in the way of their blood hunt for Zarek. It made me want to see who Otto really is. Not who he pretends to be.

message 140: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I looooves Otto. I've loved him since that hunt for Zarek and even more when he harassed Valerius while he was he squire. I miss his appearances. I'd actually like a story on any of the dorean squires that have been mentioned in the series already

message 141: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn (katelynpreece) | 532 comments I saw Otto's harassment of Valerius as somewhat endearing. But I couldn't stand it when Otto insulted Valerius.

message 142: by Katelyn (new)

Katelyn (katelynpreece) | 532 comments Besides if I could meet Valerius in real life here is what I would say:

Valerius I don't think your arrogant, but rather a man who prides himself on his status in speech, manners, appearance, actions etc.

However since the majority of us are mediocre in speech, manners, appearance etc, it's easy to ostracize people such as yourself who fit in the minority.

They take one look at you, and they think you have XYZ negative characteristics, therefore you deserve to be disrespected. However what they don't realize is that if the roles were to be reversed, and if people such as yourself were in the majority, and we were in the minority, then us mediocre people would be seen as the ones with the problems.

Society affects how people see other individuals. Personally I don't like for society to dictate for me how I see somebody or something. Your arrogance (and I use that term affectionately) makes you an individual. And the individual characteristics that make someone unique, should be treasured; because the world would be boring if we were all the same. In a world were the world has the stale air of mediocrity, it's a breath of fresh air to meet a man such as yourself who strives to be more than mediocre.

People think your arrogant because you would not dare to touch food that is beneath you etc. However that is not arrogance but preference. If a homeless person would offer me the food they found in the rubbish bin, would me declining their offer make me arrogant? Yet people have a tendency to see sins in other people , but not in themselves.

People think you must look down on them. But how many people walk down the street, see a homeless person and wonder if they must be unintelligent, criminals, or have a mental disorder? We like to say we don't look down on people ever. But nobody is immune to judging others, we all judge. It makes us the imperfect humans that we are - In fact I'm judging you right now.

People say your arrogant because you pride yourself on the status of the car you drive, the clothes you wear, the way you speak. But such actions are hypocritical when we take into account that everybody prides themselves on status in one way or another. Is a woman arrogant for wearing make up because she prides herself on the status of appearance? Would I be arrogant for turning down food found in a rubbish bin because I prefer food not found in a rubbish bin? Is someone else arrogant for caring about their academic grades? It's hypocritical for them to judge the status you take pride in, just because they themselves don't take pride in those status.

Sorry for the long rant. I like you Valerius. I'd be honoured to be your friend.

Yes:) according to SK Nick will have is 'adult' story in DH after the CON series is completed. I expect the CON series to end with Kody disappearing (since history has been rewritten) so I don't expect the CON series to be Nick's HEA, just that the goal that he had of going back in time will be reached.

message 147: by Slick (new)

Slick | 456 comments CON will end with Nick around college-ish. Kody will vanish back to the future and everything being mysteriously altered/reset to the past that DH Squire Nick remembers when talking to Amanda

It has to be Kody. In his "Adult" DH Book.
Im not spending 14 years reading about how much he loves her then getting smashed together with some random bloody Devereaux!!! Hahaha

message 148: by Shari-amor, Doll Cake (new)

Shari-amor | 5275 comments I'm right there with you, Slick. Getting to know Kody, I've gotten use to her and Nick loving her. I agree that she'll disappear once her mission is complete (view spoiler). So I am curious, is Nick gonna have to wait that long or is SK gonna go another route!? Ugh!

message 149: by Slick (new)

Slick | 456 comments Unless after the reset, Nick slowly starts getting worse and worse and she pops back again in the DH timeline and both of them oblivious about their past... travel the same route again..

Thought it was funny in Styxx's book where he first meets Nick and he quite likes him... ;) We'll see how that goes ;)

ROFL, Slick! XD

Although I'm inclined to agree with you about not wanting to see Nick with a Devereaux after 14 years of Kody. ;) And I'm still uneasy about the notion that Nick was originally slated to be with Tia. I really, really don't want to see that. >.>

I'm also thinking along the same lines you are, Slick, about the past resetting to what we see in Night Pleasures. As for Kody ... I'm starting to think that there's likely to be time travel involved. Or else we get a Kody from an alternate universe.

As for characters I'd like to see have a story, I think most of the characters I'd like to see have already been mentioned. (Well, except for Cherise, because though I wouldn't mind seeing her get an HEA, I'm still pretty sure it's not gonna happen. )

A few characters I'd like to see have their own story (in addition to the others listed a few posts back):
Janice
Jean-Luc
Madoc

I also want very much to read the stories that SK had planned to write, namely Xander (and Brynna) and Solin. I think Cabeza would be another awesome story. =)

(And I'm sure we'll get Remi's story eventually. It's just a matter of SK getting him to talk to her, which apparently ain't happening right now.)
