*smile* I was like Louise, started late, didn't read the books as they are supposed to be read (one after the other) and in the beginning wasn't even aware that it was a series till some characters popped up again, over and over. Once I was into it - of cause - I looked for specific books and I feel with Louise as I had a few books that I did not want to read (Strykers book is one of them) but I have, eventually. As I said emotions are strange bedfellows and hard to explain.

Yeah, I feel you. I read about him twice so far and the second time around I was like "Hello scrumptious, I have seen you before. How have you been doing?"

I'd like a more in depth story of the squires. We got an insight into the apollites world, loved to know more about them especially about the families that span generations
Ya know, I would have thought we would get more of their side of things through Brynna's and Xander's story. Even via Otto's story as well. Since right of the top of my head they are the top two characters that come from squire families that have a long history of doing the job. Oh and Chris too now that I think of it. Although we get more of his I think through Wulf's book.
Yeah they were who I was thinking of when I posted that. I was on her site and someone posted about a squire series and I thought why don't we know more about them
I love Chris!:) he will be introduce in CoN soon, I think in inferno.. and he is Nick's squire:) they are opposite character but I love that they are friends when Nick was mortal, I hope Nick could tolerate him lol:D and Otto too,since he's a blue blooded squire,once he fall in love,he will violate their law, and the Adams family especially Brynna, I love her with Nick in CoN, oh well *wishful thinking:|*
I would love to learn more about Jared and Jaden! Of course Savitar as well. I agree about the squires I'd love to learn and understand everything better. Solin for sure he's an interesting one. The only book I haven't liked is Arikos' book. Don't really care for him much. I cannot wait for Styxx's book to come out, it's going to be epic :-)

Yep, I definitely do. Great spin to the story with them. Indeed on the Thorn part as well. But he seems to collect colorful characters for sure.

Nope, cause they are still alive and kicking in Dev's book No Mercy. Just we don't know the reason he chose them for his side of things per se. Although I think Amaranda gave a mini explanation about it. Something to the affect of he chooses people give a second chance to or something like that. Will have to go back and read the fine print on that one.
God, you are so right with the going back and read it again. I read those books months ago and it feels like years and I have forgotten so much about it. darn
speaking of going back rereading them I skip most of the parts in no mercy, yeah shame me:( but I do know they didn't die in dark side of the moon:) err Thorn is still a mystery man, whether he's good or bad, OMG he's really the son of Lucifer, shaking my head.
No shame Louise. I don't have the time to do a complete re-read like I see most peeps doing at times. I just read my favorite parts or if I need to fact check something. If I can even remember where it is in the first place lol.
hahahaha, You both know so much more details about the stories, I started reading them just for the fun of it, I like what I read, I remember some really funny scenes like when Tabbi is stabbing Val in the beginning, or when Kyrian walks in and kills Val because she can't do it, so that she can give him back his soul, or Otto and Nick pissing Val off, but ask me about anything else (apart from the pene pasta) I wouldn't be able to remember and I have read it twice now.
lol Manuela, you just stated the best parts on Val's story, you forgot Val on the drag queen contest hehehe:)penironi...hahaha:D
I think with the 3 of us we have the important parts covered them Manuela. ;) And I have to say that I loved his reaction when he first woke up in Tabby's room and was looking all around. Even meeting Marla and how Tabby threatened to kick his butt if he didn't quit calling Marla a "he". That was so hilarious to me. That Drag Queen contest was great too.Can't forget Tabby sticking up for Val against Zarek and Otto. When they both were talking smack about him. She really served it up good to them. Love both of those characters. But everyone needs to be shown a different side of the situation at times. Hence I loved Astrid giving Val and Tabby some of the Ambrosia and making it so Val could be able to officially mess with Zarek back for the rest of eternity. Ah got to love the just desserts in that situation, lol.
I thought its all doom when Val became mortal again, so happy for Astrid and Zarek that ThaT was their wedding gift to both of them:), I loved when Tabby and Val argue each other and that she always win ehehe:)
that's how it should be Louise, women should always win the arguments, hahahaha. Yeah, I wasn't happy when I read that Z was zapping him all the time and so I was glad when Astrid did something for the balance. I think that over a long time, especially with the kids around (maybe even playing together) the grown ups could get into a forgiving mood and get closer to each other. Won't be friendship (although I would hope so) but maybe a better aceptance as in what is in the past should stay in the past.
well good news Manuela, on the DH website, Val and Tabby's son Valerian is a friend to his cousin Bob, Zarek's son:) and in the book fear the darkness, Nick saw Kyrian's family together with the all Devereux clan and that includes Val having a Christmas evening with them:)
aaaawwwwww, Louise, sniff, sniff, I knew it! I mean I hoped for it so badly. They are all such lovely men having been treated badly by their (own and original) families and circumstances. Thanks for letting me know, I really love to see a HEA with all of them. The men standing side by side having their wives in their arms and the babies snuggled up to them. Can't Styxx draw that picture for us? All of them!!!!
That would be lovely to imagine, don't you think Manuela? *swoon* but sorry:(, Styxx's only got close to one couple so far, Urian and Phoebe:)
well he got a 1000+ pages to get to know all the others!!!!!
I would like to see Remi Peltier get his HEA. I know he's a minor character, but I felt bad for him after I learned his back story.
I'm ready for his as well. Kenyon said after she finished The Guardian, she was going to do either Max, Remi or Solins story but ended up doing the new DH book, No Ones Son (I think thats what its called). So I'm sure if she's considering it now, his book will come soon :-)

Shari where did you read Remi's back story? please don't say its on No Mercy. I keep on skipping pages on that one and I really hate the book:\

Haha, Louise it always seems like the books you avoid reading is the ones that have the most dirt on things.As an aside though, knowing Remi's story makes me hate the fates even more all over again.
Yes!! It pissed me off when I read it. I was like thats sooo messed up. Heart went out to Remi......stilll think he's a jackass but I understand why now
Yep, even jackasses have hearts. :) But in a way too I think he is like Mama was too. I mean given their family secrets going on too from Bad Moon Rising, and also having to have their home be a sanctuary too. Can be rather stressful and not very ideal given the family history too.

Sorry louise but goodness it took forever to find the pages because it wasn't where I thought it would be. Starts in the middle of page 260 and ends at the top of page 262. Hope that helps you out :-)

That was what real love was. The ability to put someone else' happiness above your own no matter how much it killed you to do so.
:'( I feel sad for Remi. no wonder he's like that. I hope he'll get his HEA he Needed it big time.
I feel for all of them in that situation. Cause even the supposed winner brother, doesn't really want it like this either. Heck one mistake and now he is stuck with his brother's soulmate and they ALL have to make do. Heck they even have another brother that isn't with the one he doesn't want to be with either. Poor Peltier fam indeed.
Yeah amd what kills me is they're not even in love. They love each other like good friends but thats it. That Peltier fam has got it hard.
And even more on top of that, to have it be a glaring reminder that their own parents actually lucked out in the mate lottery. I mean actually ending up with someone they wanted to be with even though it was a one time hook up. The irony of life for sure.
I sooo thought the same as some of you guys - I read Val's story first, loved it and then really didn't want to read Zarek's story, dragged it out forever and eventually ended up reading it. Though I have to admit, after all was said and done, I still like Val more than Zarek - the two kinda remind me a bit of Ash and Styxx. Val seemed to have it sooo good (like Styxx) while Zarek was so obviously treated bad (like Ash), but in the end both really had it bad, just that Val was nicer about it than Zarek that went all out on Val when he got the chance after hooking up with Astrid.The characters I'd like to read more about would be Thorn, Jaden, Jared, Nick (would love to see him get together with the grown up Marissa for some reason)- though he has his CON the adult version is way more interesting, Takeshi (what's with that photo he carries around?) and definitely Savitar. Apollymi would be interesting, too - why would she hide with Acheron of all people, he was a prick and what about her first child? A bit more on Madoc (though not a full book) would be cool, too now that we know he is Nick's brother.
