It should be a bit easier to figure out where in the text each week's readings begin and end than it was in the previous book. McCullough has given us reasonably-sized chapters, and each one is subdivided into sections marked by numbered pictures of columns (at least in my edition). E.g., the first week covers sub-sections 1 and 2 of chapter I, and the second week finishes chapter I.

Hi Vicki,
I have the eBook version from iBooks and the page numbering is a little different . . . but I think this will be easier to follow . . . I'm trying to finish up 2 or 3 library loaners before I start . . . and this will be my only discussion book for awhile. Looking forward to this . . . thanks.

I just started - am on page 59 - I didn't know that Caesar did so much damage to Alexandria!!! (And I call myself a history teacher...)

Hi Tomi . . . my problem is that I find myself reading not just the book under discussion . . . but all the OTHER books I discover about the same subject!!
My TBR list has at least doubled since I joined GR. I figure that as of right now . . . if I bought no other books and continue reading and listening to books at a rate of 75-100/year the ones I own now are enough to keep me going for 4-5 yrs. as it is . . . ;-)
