Adding a book without ISBN

I have a copy of "yaanaigal: azhiyum peruir" (Roman transliteration of Tamil name யானைகள்: அழியும் பேருயிர்). It is an important contemporary work on elephants in Tamil. It is found in the library of Central Institute of Indian Languages.[1] Someone has posted the cover image of an earlier edition at http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/21... I can post a new image. Is it possible to add this book?

You can easily add a book without an ISBN - just add a new book, and enter in all the information you have for the book, including the cover and if other editions exist, a librarian here will be happy to combine the new book into the existing editions master work.

Alternatively, we're happy to add the book for you if you include the following in your post:

* Title
* Author(s) name(s)
* ISBN (or ASIN)
* Publisher
* Publication date
* Format
* Description
* Link to cover on a NON-BOOKSELLER site, such as a publisher site, an author site, etc. No Amazon, B&N, or other bookseller links can be used as sources for covers or other book data.

If you have a copy of the image from a non-bookseller, you can upload it to your profile pictures and we can grab it from there.

Unfortunately the link you provided to the book cover can not be downloaded unless one subscribes to the service displaying that image. If you place a copy in your GR profile page, we can take it from there.

Sundar, I've added the cover. I also edited the names of the authors since we don't put transliterations in the author name field. Are there any other editions of this book in the database?

Cait, no other edition of this book exists in the database. Thanks for adding the cover (it is of the first edition, I'll upload a cover image of the second edition to my profile).

Oh, sorry! I completely missed that that was the cover for a different edition. Do you know any of the information for that edition (publisher, date, and so on)?

Yes. The first edition was published in November 2004 by the same publisher, National History Trust.
