i would strive to change it because we all need to experience the things in life that makes us who we are and not who someone else wants us to be. THis is a book about a perfect world where their is always happiness but there are secrets being kept

I don't know if we would know any different, or that there was anyway to change it. If everything is controlled well enough, there would not be the opportunity to KNOW any different. If you do not know any different, there isn't anything that can be done.
It's like realizing the self actualization and the strive to better oneself, or become an individual only happens once a person reaches a certain point. If I was never taught to reach for the stars, or introduiced to books about the world, and jobs and careers, and relationships or given different learning experiences or adventures, I don't think I would know any different.

Well, if I had gone there through a machine and not lived my entire life there but lived my entire life here, yes. If I lived there for my entire life, no, because I would be trained differently.

strive to change it ofcourse NOTHING PERFECT IS GOOD FOR NO ONE for real.

Laszlo Consider this, Inês, would't you have been trained differently in that society to believe there was no need to change it and everything was perfect? ...more

I would strive to change it.

Well, since I live in a perfect world, I wouldn't know anything about change. Unless some random person showed up and made me think about the unknown, then I probably wouldn't change.

I think that experiences and mistake shape who we are. People need the chance to make decisions, because we learn from them. In the Giver it seemed like everyone was the same, but it is our differences that help the world, I mean if we all thought the same there would be no new ideas...But if we did live like that we wouldn't know any better.

this world that Jonas lives in is quite logical actually if you think about it, but is it a world that I would want to live in? Is no love worth more food? No color worth everyone has a job? Is no lies worth no music? Is no pain worth being controlled your entire life? Personally, I would take the love, even if I dont hve enough food, I would take the color even though I might not have a job, I would take the music, even if someone lies to me, I would be able to wistand the pain, just to make sure someone never controls me my entire life. pd. 1: hw

If going by the book. I would not know any different, as i would not have the ability to form any kind of emotion. So Unless there was a shift like in the case of Jonas and The Giver my life would stay the same.
