They are pretty cute.

Last year I decided to make my very first jock o lantern, as Halloween is not an Aussie thing at all. So I bought a giant pumpkin for $20 and went to work on it in the backyard. We had just gotten a baby chick a few weeks before and she decided the best place to be in the world, was inside the pumpkin as I was trying to carve it.

I had to put it down for the fear of carving her up, and the excited cheeps echoed out of the pumpkin, with a little black head popping out of the eye hole every few minutes. Incredibly cute.

It's a shame the pumpkin couldn't last and be her home. That sounds so sweet.

That is a precious story! I would love to have seen a photo of her in her little pumpkin house! : )
