Dennis arrives in class with tons of time to spare. He opens his math textbook and begins working on the problems on the board.

Dennis glances at Marina, and then the clock. "Well, aren't you early", he says.
"Uh, I'm always early for my classes. You aren't", he says pointing at her.
"So?", Dennis asked.
Dennis completed the math problems in no time. He glanced at Marina's problems and saw tons of problems. He began fixing them.
"Do you want to know what you did wrong?", Dennis asks as Mr. Newman begins class.
"What could be so hard about the Pythagorean Theorem? It's just a squared plus b squared equals c squared", Dennis says.
Dennis doesn't reply while Mr. Newman teaches his lesson. When Mr. Newman finishes and assigns the in-class homework, then Dennis turns and says,"Ask Mr. Newman. There's a teacher there for a reason, Marina", and he turns to do his homework.
Mr. Newman begins assigning the homework 3 minutes before class ends. Dennis writes it all down in his agenda and collects his books. He waits for the bell to ring.
Elton quickly writes the assignments in his planner and gathers his things. He was still angry at Kevin for making that stupid prank. He wished he could do more to help Mr. Ryan.
