What did you think of the character Peak?

I think that Peak was an interesting character.

He had a lot of sides to him: he was a really well written and I liked learning about him.

Peak was so determined to get to the top of Mount Everest. Because of how determined Peak was, i was really disappointed when he decided to let the other boy that was going/climbing the mountain with him reach the top but although he was only about 10 feet away!!! the worse thing was that he didnt even tell his dad or mom that he really would have made it to the top!

Over all i liked the book, but the end of it just annoyed me, because Peak didnt even tell his parents or anyone that he was capable of getting to the top. Also, i dont really think that many people in real life would do what peak did.

I agree! He worked so hard and did all that and he didn't even get to the top! But as a climber my self I know not everyone gets to the top. But he was so close!

I think that Peak thought he didn't deserve to get to the top. Which is a little selfless but I don't think he's selfless as a person.
