FINISHED!!! Great read! Now I want my own Harry, too. I'll give it some time before reaching for Death Rejoices. I just seem to have a book overload syndrome. I think I should maybe watch something instead.

Since my last post, I've finished
and
of the Nightrunner series. Then read
and
and the Lightbringer series just may be one of my new most favorite series.I'm still on my fantasy kick, so I'm starting
Death Rejoices by A.J. AaltoI really liked this book, even if it had a lot of pages…. I love marnie; she is not the typical heroine for sure.
Now to finish all of the way what I was working on before this sidetracked me.
There are one or two series I'm not up to date in, but they aren't necessarily something I'm really excited to read.As for genre jumping, I'm pretty set in what I like.
So I've managed to stay away from the books for one whole day, just enough time to watch all 10 episodes of the 3rd season of A Game of Thrones. Now I'm reading Blood Trouble and after that thinking on starting Death Rejoices since it's now available for $0,99 on Amazon and B&N
Seriously I think that there is a conspiracy ... I buy a book then a few days later or whatever it is on sale or ... the best ... totally free.bleh!
LOL :D. I actually think that conspiracy is made toward me. Ever so often, when I start to read some series, I find the next book free, or really cheap. Example Death Rejoices ;)
I have bad luck with waiting for something. When I used to smoke and was still in austin attending criss cole I would be waiting for the bus and really want a smoke. I would wait and wait then say f'it and light up a smoke ... then the bus would come. That sort of thing happens to me all of the time. I wait and wait to do something then when I say whatever and go to do it I get interrupted and then have to deal with whatI was waiting for.
I waited and put off buying a book then do it and then voila it is on sale or free....
I still liked the books and thought they were worth the purchase though, my cheapside just gets twitchy and all wtfy.
Jhereg (Vlad Taltos, #1) by Steven BrustI had forgotten about this series till I had gone through my books. It has been years since I had read it I forgot how convoluted and scheming the people in this world could be. I am pretty sure my idea of assassin came from reading about Vlad, def assassiny and paranoid lol.
(Vlad has no connection to Dracula vlad btw)
I've had a reading binge. Did not read any of the books I had planned to and read five books I had not planned to read. Ever After
Own the Wind
Fire Inside
Chimera
Basilisk
Interesting stuff :)
I've started reading
. It's OK so far, but haven't read all that much.I was going to start on
but it's in a poll for BOM in another group I'm in, so I'm going to wait and see how it does in that poll. If it wins, I'll wait till the beginning of July before I start.
@Margo So glad you're reading (going to read?) Death Rejoices. That's my current re-read right now, since I didn't feel like reading anything else. What do you think?I have some freebies I downloaded on my Kindle that I should probably read. Maybe.
@ Claire - actually I just finished
and have to clean the house and make dinner, so I probably start reading
late at night or tomorrow evening. And just BTW, the
book cover is definitely going to be in my calendar for 2014 (I know it's early but common, it's a great cover) :D
Finished:Yendi (Vlad Taltos, #2) by Steven Brust
And
Doubletake (Cal Leandros, #7) by Rob Thurman
Am I a bad person because (view spoiler)
I just finished my 6th book this month,
A Clash of Kings (A Song of Ice and Fire, #2) by George R.R. Martin. My next book is
The Guardian (Dark-Hunter, #21; Dream-Hunter, #5; Were-Hunter, #8; Hellchaser, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon
LOL not a bad person Llaph (view spoiler)Finished
. regular chick lit book, set in England both present day and during WW2. It was kind of boring, but had a fantastic finish.["br"]>["br"]>
oh and started
. I'm hooked, It had a great start. I just wish the formatting on kindle was better lol
@ zeenat:(view spoiler)
As for charlie you are lucky you can read the series all the way through, I had started it after book 2 so I had to wait.... Some people don't like it for one reason or another. I liked it though for the most part.
Finished blood trouble by Connie suttle this one was very different than the others or it has been too long since I read the other books. Still liked it just felt odd.
I finished
and I really liked it. It's a sort of crime/UF crossover and I thought it was really good for a fairly cheap self-pub. I liked the intrigues about the main character's background and it was very light on romance till almost the end. I also liked the hints we got about the vampires and their history, though I'm a total sucker for any kind of different take on vamps.I just had to start on the second book in the series
tomorrow will start
. I really liked the first book, but I really wish she did a better job with her breaks in chapters and paragraphs. Here's hoping the flow improves.
Finished:Slashback (Cal Leandros, #8) by Rob Thurman
I have pretty much run out of new stuff to read and have re-read most of my favorite series already so I think I might re-read Charlie series. Thnx zeenat :P
I just finished my 7th book this month,
The Guardian (Dark-Hunter, #21; Dream-Hunter, #5; Were-Hunter, #8; Hellchaser, #4) by Sherrilyn Kenyon. My next book is
Shades of Midnight (Midnight Breed #7) by Lara Adrian
Hey all, does anyone know why all the sudden I can only see question marks in place of the books everyone is listing? This is on the email update I get. Used to see everything just fine before. Kind of a bummer
Could be an upgrade or something GR is doing. I know there have been times for me where I wasn't able to rate a book or use batch edit when editing my shelves. A few days later it smoothed out and I could do those things again. I just thought it was some web programming they were doing and waited. Then again I use a screen reader and expect stuff like that to happen. It usually fixed itself within 2 days or so, how long have you had this problem?
Toni, I don't get email updates on group discussions so I haven't personally seen this and can't help. However there is a Goodreads feedback group that you could maybe have a look or ask in there.http://www.goodreads.com/group/show/1...
Also, I'm presuming that the problem is definitely with Goodreads? It's not that your email client is blocking images loading?
Thanks for the help. I use a kindle fire. Could be their issue. Just a little inconvenient is all. I logged into GR and everything showed fine. I'll check out the link, thanks guys! I love getting suggestions from this thread on what to read....or at least add to the pile
I couldn't sleep last night so I ended up finishing out the whole charlie madigan series:
I started
, and will reread
I just finished my 8th book this month,
Shades of Midnight (Midnight Breed #7) by Lara Adrian. My next book is
A Storm of Swords (A Song of Ice and Fire, #3) by George R.R. Martin
Finished
and I have to say, that I'm not impressed. For now, I'm not starting anything, 'cause tomorrow I'm moving to England - God I HATE packing
Well for now I'm au-pair near Birmingham, but later on I planing to find a normal job, with normal pay. So please keep your fingers crossed that everything will go smoothly for me
work has been insane l8ly so I haven't had much time to do anything let alone read and stalk GRs though I did luckily fit in
and
. they where both pretty fantastic!! I loved Tortured! not 100% sure why but who cares right? :D
