Arushi, I don't think this elemental Assasin book was predictable as far as the ending goes, but yeah, they are getting predictable! Death's rival was a great choice :)
Zeenat wrote: "How are you doing with the series, Margo?"Well I like it enough to keep reading it but right now it's still isn't that great for me :(. Maybe now (view spoiler).
Now reading

"Cool. I remember I started this Series with For a few demons More. I was confused as hell.. but at least I had incentive to read the first few books coz I knew it got better.
Finished with
and getting to know
. How many series do you follow? I have the annoying habit or starting more series than I can follow. A friend from another group made a list of her series (finished, up-to-date, on-going and abandonned ones), I did the same and could not believe that I have about 70 series that I started but could not keep up-to-date.
How healthy is your TBR pile?
I totally know how you feel Valerie! I think I have 60ish or series still going . . . only 10ish of which I started and haven't finished cause I got bored and want to get back to it later. All the other are ones I actively read when a new book comes out LOL (69 total read series--yea I noticed too :P). A few series don't even make the list cause I got mad at htem or hated them (Dante valentine, twilight, raine Benares comes to mind)My unread TBR pile (as in series I haven't started yet) is 115 series . . . So I doubt I'll ever have nothing to read . . .
So 50 or series have books coming out every year that I have to read . . . lol that's more than what most people read in a year!
I have a few Gillian Flynn's I need to get to, but first I'm re-reading Issac Asimov's Pre-Foundation and Foundation Series - that a total of 15 books in the two series. Good stuff.
Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ wrote: "I have a love/hate relationship with Charley."I read the first in the series and enjoyed to story, but Charley annoyed me. Everything she said or thought had to be funny to point that it felt scripted. I need to keep reading though, as everyone loves them so much.
I've started
and enjoying it so far
@ Diane - That's really depressing news!Oh well, I guess it couldn't go on forever... *sighs*
Just finished reading
starting
and reading
with my hubby (sort of a tandem read)

LOL Yeah I only read 10 books this month! Kathy you go girl!So I finished the newsflesh trilogy. Didn't feel like writing a review for the final book. Ehhhh the series was okay, but compared to Seanan Maguire's other books, I thought this series was dismal.
Reading
, and rereading
and
Hmmm, I don't keep track of the number of books I read a month; don't see the point in it. It almost seems it would take the fun out of reading to make it a contest with myself. But more power to the ones who like to keep up with it!
I'm starting the re-read of the Kara Gillian series later today. Lannister - are we going to have a separate thread, or just dump in this one?

Well Sarah set up the link to go to the General Book Talk thread (here), so we can talk there and see how it goes. It might get a little confusing with multiple conversations going on, as people use the thread for other stuff too (plus spoilers), but we'll try it out that way for now.
LOL I didn't keep track, I went and looked back on my "read" list on here! :)I used to keep track, but it made me sad that I didn't read as much as I did last year, so I stopped. You're right Duane, it takes the fun out of it. Reading is reading no matter how much you can.
I keep track so I don't forget what I've read and sit down to read something I've already been through. Yeah, I keep track of my series reads as well. Gots me a spreadsheet going...
That's awesome Kathy! I do keep track of series I read or tbr pile, but I use the website www.fictfact.com. it makes my life a lot simpler.
So true Zeenat, it even send you email before another book in a series is about to come out. It's feeding my addiction to series in a big way.
Just finished Fury's Kiss. Love, Love it. I think this might be the best book in the series so far. Can't wait for the next......It's going to take forever. Now I need to go look at my book list and see what to read next. Was thinking maybe Haunted on Bourbon Street by Deanna Chase. Yep.

Wow, Anna Karenina! That's pretty hardcore! I used to read some Dostoevsky. There's something about Russian literature, but you definitely have to be in the mood.
okay so I've finished with The Hollows series for now and I have to say I'm not impressed :/. Now I'm giving one more time to October Days and it's the last one 'cause like I said before I already tried 3 times so I got my hands on audio book so I know I will finish at least one book
There's an October Daye group reading coming up in a couple of weeks - after the Kara Gillian group read - maybe that would help you along in reading what is in actuality a great series. Book 1 is slow, but like many series in which the first book sets things up, the rest of the series more than makes up for it. In my opinion, it is one of the best series out there in the Urban Fantasy genre.
