I like the Black Wings series a lot! And yeah the last name is kinda dumb but I don't think Gabriel uses his last name. I love the supernatural take this series has :) The world building is nicely done.

re:Ben is one of the reasons I did not get past the 1 st half of book 2. Just too sad ... I am such a girly girl sometimes.

@Zeenat - Thanks!! Its okay.. re-reads do tend to be consuming. I know I only stopped with quite a few after reading the series at least twice - NH, Kate Daniels, KC (Cassie & Dory) and the latest one was Broken Empire trilogy.

@Zeenat I had a feeling that was going to be the case, too. Vampires don't go around helping people for no reason. I was plenty surprised by other things, though.

I am so procrastinating ... I could read A Memory of Light or I still have A Game of Thrones to read. I haven't finished GoT because I have a DTB which the narrator's voice ... is ... just weird. It is like Gandalf is reading me the story, I don't need that sort of dramatics really, it makes it harder to understand WTF is going on. Now if Patrick Stewart were reading it....

I love Butters, he is a great sort of sidekick. After he meets bob is great imo, with all of the jewish expressions and omg the internet is so cool ... some things bob should not be allowed access to.

I really did like the first book, although the story of Rhiannon's past was dark enough that I wished I didn't finish the book just before I went to bed.
