I actually didn't have the issues with LKG that other people seemed to have. U found myself enjoying it a lot. It's definitely not one of Gena's better books, though.

And yay for reading Dark Light!

Starting Dark Light of Mine (Overworld Chronicles #2) by John Corwin

Finished! Carwyn ap Bryn is my favorite vampire out of all the UF and PNR series I have read, and this book is one of my favorites.

It does make sense, I am the type of person to complain about something as I am doing it though.
Even if it ended that way I still liked it. Some cliffhangers are just awful though, instead of getting me excited to read what happens I get pissed and say f'it for the next book.

I hate using so many words to try and explain what I think to not sound like a dork or something else bad, then I end up sounding that way anyway.

message 1304: by Zeenat (new)

Zeenat (zeekwon) | 6376 comments nah I get it :) I hate KMM's cliffhangers... they are usually unnecessary.

Claire (claire1) | 4451 comments I'm on Fool Moon (The Dresden Files, #2) by Jim Butcher and all I have to say is 1) the books are awesome and 2) I hate Murphy. (view spoiler)

Mello ❣ Illium ✮Harry✮ ☀Myrnin☀ Torin Ichimaru | 2012 comments Lol, Claire!

I think a lot of people feel that way about Murphy at the beginning of the series. I know I do.

message 1307: by Zeenat (new)

Zeenat (zeekwon) | 6376 comments LOL a lot of people have issues with Murphy, especially in the beginning.

message 1308: by Claire (new)

Claire (claire1) | 4451 comments Does she get less annoying? Right now I'm struggling with a desire to make her real and then bitch-slap her.

message 1309: by Llaph (new)

Llaph (llaph) | 3285 comments She gets betterish as the series goes along, same as the books imo. I just want to slap her less....

message 1312: by Zeenat (new)

Zeenat (zeekwon) | 6376 comments at one point in the series I get really annoyed with her, and I jumped off the murphy/harry wagon. I went back on it though LOL.

message 1313: by Gin (new)

Gin | 323 comments I finished The Renfield Syndrome (Rhiannon's Law, #2) by J.A. Saare which is just as hard to rate as the first. Half the book is 5 stars and the other half is 3 stars. I swear there has to be two authors writing this book.

Now I'm moving on to Rosemary and Rue (October Daye, #1) by Seanan McGuire

message 1314: by Claire (new)

Claire (claire1) | 4451 comments @Zeenat So not going anywhere near that wagon! I don't like it one bit!

@Gin You definitely won't regret starting the Toby books!

Arushi | 3652 comments @Mello - I am glad you liked Last Kiss Goodnight. I don't hate it, I just don't care about it. Which can be worse.

Tell me how the second Dark Light book is?

message 1318: by Margo (new)

Margo | 663 comments finished with Dead, Undead, or Somewhere in Between (Rhiannon's Law #1) by J.A. Saare , The Renfield Syndrome (Rhiannon's Law, #2) by J.A. Saare and The Ripple Effect (Rhiannon's Law, #3) by J.A. Saare and I have to say that I really liked it. Although I have to agree with Gin that sometimes it does seem like two different authors were writing the book but all in all, great story to read and I definitely want to read the next book when it'll come out.

Not sure what to read next yet.

Ah, this one is from a different series called the Overworld Chronicles.

The second Dark Light book isn't out until March. I want it now, though.

I didn't realize The Ripple Effect (Rhiannon's Law, #3) by J.A. Saare was out. Guess I'll be reading that one soon.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 1164 comments Listening to Conspiracy Game (GhostWalkers, #4) by Christine Feehan , I like that the villain is behind the scenes. I read her other Dark series which diminished in quality lately but so far I like the Ghostwalkers.

Started Control Point (Shadow Ops, #1) by Myke Cole .

Was there a cliff-hanger? Tell me please!!
I am not reading it until the next one is out.
And you added Torin. *rolls eyes*
As if that will stop Sarah from thudding.

Valerie ~ Val Hall ~ | 1164 comments I didn't read Kissed by Darkness (Sunwalker Saga, #1) by Shéa MacLeod but I liked the short post apocalyptic Dragon Warrior by Shéa MacLeod .

Yes, there is. Right at the end the heroine finds something important out that could change a lot of things for her. I'd already knew what it was, but she didn't. I about died when it ended right there.

And I sure did! At least it's not Strider!

Claire, you may change your mind! you may not. You might think the Harry/Zeenat bandwagon fits better ;) As long as you don't jump on another wagon that will appear later on.... ;)

Gin, also with the toby daye books, try to get through at least the first 3. The first two have moments where it's slow and it usually turns people off. But it picks up after 3 and it's AMAZZZZBALLS

I had to reformat my sd card for my reader and forgot about having this book ... it is my curse that the one time I don't do something is the time I should have done it. I normally keep a list for when I have to do something like this.

It is like the one time I don't check to see if the seat is down, I almost fall in ... the one time I don't double check what color my undershirt is, it is the wrong color. Fun stuff!

You are not a dork, if you say LOL, IMO, BTW, or things like that ... then you might be a dork. Quoting from books does not a dork make you. It is like a fad, after a while you will stop saying it.

(I am not trying to justify it at all, I never say those type of things ... outloud anyway.)

I've heard that from others too. I'm not far in yet, but I'm enjoying it so far. I don't think anyone who wrote
Discount Armageddon (InCryptid, #1) by Seanan McGuire could ever write something that I dislike
