Barbara ★ | 3901 comments A young girl who can shapeshift into any animal (until she turns 13 an then has to decide which one shape she'll turn into forever) meets a boy who can do the same thing. They have great adventures - saving the world, of course. The book is the first in a series. I really enjoyed this book (and the sequels) but for the life of me can't think of the tile or author.

Any idea what this might be?

Sarah | 367 comments This sounds really familiar. Did they travel to Central or South America? I have a vague recollection of reading the first book in a series where the boy and girl were shifters who travelled on their adventure.

Sarah | 367 comments The one I was thinking of was City of the Beasts by Isabelle Allende. Now that I re-read the description, it doesn't sound like yours at all. Oops!
City of the Beasts

Unapologetic_Bookaholic | 2002 comments Animorphs seemed like a cool TV show. Were the books any good?

message 6: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments Thanks Mel but it's definitely not Animorphs.

It's also not City of the Beasts.

I seem to recall them traveling to Canada or Alaska. I remember it being snowy. Oh well, maybe someone will know what book this is.

Jodz (jodz87) Is it Switchers by Kate Thompson?

message 9: by Barbara ★ (new)

Barbara ★ | 3901 comments Yes it is. Thanks so much. It's been driving me nuts for way too long.

My sis was young, well, still is young lol. But she was still into NICK or DISN. and Animorphs came on one of those channels. I don't remember seeing a whole eps. but I remember seeing a cover of a book and saying "Hey isn't this from that show you used to watch?" So hulu.com probably has the eps. for free.

new_user I used to love the Animorph books. :)

Unapologetic_Bookaholic | 2002 comments I want to go to the LIB. I want to check out the YA books. Since entering my 20's I stopped reading all my fave YA authors (anyone similar to R L Stine) and graduated to hardcore thrillers and horror. But I found I STILL enjoy YA authors like Christopher Pike Diane Hoh and many others.
