I strongly agree. The Princess Bride is way better than the book.
Also--the Hobbit is turning out to be. Sure, there are inaccuracies, but I just don't like Tolken's writing style.

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments Yeah, I tried to read the Hobbit once and couldn't get into it.

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) I think there are for sure books out there that are so long winded I would like the movie over the written form! I never read The Hobbit of LotR, and I don't think I could... I get confused enough with everything happening in the movies. So, with that in mind alone, I like the movies over the books in those cases for sure! haha

Rachel | 458 comments Uh the Harry Potter series. I mean come on! The grafics of the early 90's and 2000's is just mind blowing. But as time goes on the grafics get better and better. J.K. Rowling did a great job with the series and to see that type of book on film is just amazing.

Priya | 16 comments There aren't any movies better than the books, period. Not that I've read/seen, anyway.

message 56: by Dana (new)

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) I've seen quite a few now. The most recent being Edge of Tomorrow based off the book All You Need is Kill. Also Pitch Perfect. And that's just off the top of my heads......

Rachel | 458 comments Mine is changed since I saw Divergent so Divergent!

message 58: by Dana (new)

Dana Burkey (danaburkey) Wait....you liked the movie more than the book? For me the book was good....but the movie was complete trash!

message 59: by bean (new)

bean :) Well, tbh, in all relativeness, I think that TFIOS was better as a movie.

The book was better, but I think that compared to all of the other movies made off of books, that TFIOS movie was one of the very best. In general, my opinion is that movies are never as good as the books, but I must say that I really, really, liked the TFIOS movie.

So if that makes sense, I'm saying I prefer the book of course, but I feel the movie was better relatively.
^^'

I think I might agree (but I think all of your guy's opinions are pretty interesting!), but I have yet to see Twilight (The Movie, obviously), because I think the book was pretty bad. Depends.

Most fairy tales have better movies than books.

Rachel | 458 comments Gianna wrote: "Harry potter and the deathly gallows, was much better than the book"

U mean Deathly Hallows. Gallows were used if people DID something wrong. They would put nuse around their necks, lift them up into the air a little bit then drop them, it would chose them so fast. So i hope u ment hollows and not gallows.

message 64: by Madi (new)

Madi It was probably just an auto correct.

message 65: by Rachel (new)

Rachel | 458 comments Yes true

message 66: by Gabriella (new)

Gabriella I liked The Fault In Our Stars better than the movie.... I wasn't too impressed with the book.

message 67: by [deleted user] (new)

That's funny because every one I've talked to said the book was better.

message 68: by Tim (new)

Tim | 1 comments Fight club: The book was really good, but the movie was better. Even the author liked the movie better.

message 69: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments So did I, Shahdia.

message 70: by Lade (new)

Lade (ladet) | 269 comments I only really enjoyed the first Hunger Games book. The other two weren't very good. But with the movies, I enjoyed the two. And I liked the trailer of Mockingjay Part 1

message 73: by Jazzy (new)

Jazzy (stairstepjitters) | 135 comments I'd say the I Am Number Four, Princess Bride, and just by a tiny bit the Catching Fire movies were better than the books.

message 74: by Lynne (new)

Lynne Stringer | 117 comments I thought the movie version of Austenland was better than the book, although I liked both. I liked some of the decisions they made with the movie's story a bit better. It simplified it.

message 75: by Jeffery (new)

Jeffery E Doherty (jeffreyedoherty) | 2 comments None that I have seen, although To Kill A Mockingbird was a beautiful movie. It came close.

message 76: by Lottie (new)

Lottie Berinson | 120 comments Twilight! The movie was so much better! I hated the book.

message 77: by Nouk (new)

Nouk (booknouk) Divergent, because I didn't like the writingstyle in the book.
