Adriana | 7 comments Adriana OK, so the part I hate the most about writing is the one or two paragraph book description that's going to sell your story to readers. I always just want to hand my manuscript to someone and say "Just read it," but I know its necessary to have a good description to hook people. So I was wondering if maybe some of you could read what I've got going on in my head right now and let me know what you think. Good, bad, or in between please give me your feedback. Honesty may make me cry but it will--hopefully--make me a better writer.

Thanks in advance for all your help. Here it is:

A life she couldn't remember...

Kari Tucker was the typical high school senior, stressing over grades and worrying about getting into a good college, until she passed out one night at the mall and woke up in a stranger's bedroom. Her life soon becomes anything but typical. Why does the stranger who kidnapped her seem so familiar? What's up with the bright orange ring of fire burning in the sky? Why does everyone keep insisting she's speaking a foreign language? And what does the strange X-word everyone keeps spewing at her actually mean?

It isn't long before Kari realizes she's a lot further from home than she ever imagined, and that's only the beginning. What if everything she thought she knew about her life was a lie?
