I didn't realise you were also a KC fan or I'd have sent you an invite. I hope you like the group, and don't be shy to join in the discussions. Have you read all the Cassie books yet? And if so, have you read the Tempt the Stars teaser chapters that KC put out? We've got some good discussions going on about those.

I hope you enjoy yourself as everyone is really friendly. Though we want to know ... do you want Cassie to end up with Pritkin or with Mircea? We have members who want one or the other (and some members who want both, possibly at the same time!!) but I'm always curious as to where people stand on that question, so do tell! :)

Lannister- I started reading Cassie when the first book came out, but couldn't dig into it. Then I saw it on GGG and tried it again and got hooked. I have read all 5 Cassie, the first Doie, and have bought the next Dorie book to read.

I love ebooks- instant gratification!!

Marsha, most people would agree the first Cassie book is the weakest of the series but they get much better as they go on. We're all desperately waiting for Tempt the Stars in October!

Personally, I prefer the Dory series. I think I just like Dory better, but I envy you still having two Dory books to read, cos those books are amazing!

I think we must be fairly evenly divided on Cassie and Dory these days. I think Cassie used to be the most popular, but Dory's definitely catching up.

Yeah, a 'love/hate relationship' is a very good description on how I feel about Mircea too. It's an amazing character that can make you distrust and sometimes actively dislike his actions, yet still love reading about him.

I joined this group some time ago but I'm really a lurker. I'm amazed by the intensity and detail of the discussions. I'm really looking forward to the release of Tempt the Stars and would like to re-read all of the Cassie books and read the Dory books for the first time leading up to the release. Is there a suggested reading order of the two series together? In other words, do they over lap in such a way that maybe I should read, for example, 1 and 2 of Cassie and then 1 of Dory and then 3-5 of Cassie, etc.? And how about all of the short fiction in the two worlds? Any suggestions how they should be folded in?

Sue, right now we are doing a group re read of the Cassie series. We are almost done with Touch the Dark, and in a couple of days start with Claimed by Shadow. We're reading the 10 days at a time. Please join in! We love new views and ideas! (or the same ones, lol!)

I've never actually read the books in the proper timeline order but I think that would be a fun way to do it. But either way I hope you can join in the reread that we're currently undertaking. We start on Claimed by Shadow tomorrow so you're not far behind. Your thoughts would be welcomed! :)

I'm in Oklahoma, but I just moved here from in Japan and most likely will be moving to Florida for college.

2. What's your favourite book/series?
My all-time favorite book series is the "Harry Potter" series by JK Rowling. It was the book series that truly got me hooked on reading.

3. Tell us why you chose the avatar you have?
I don't have an avatar yet because I haven't been able to add one. I just got my laptop back and have been accessing GoodReads on my iPad so I haven't been able to add an avatar.

4. Name a famous person that makes you swoon?
Chris Evans (the guy who plays Captain America). He really makes me swoon (just don't tell my boyfriend that LOL).

5. What's your favourite dessert?
I love anything that has chocolate, so as long as it doesn't involve fruit or nuts (peanut butter is okay, though).

6. Anything else you want to share about yourself?
I'm hoping to major in Library Science when I start back at college so that I can achieve my dream of becoming a librarian :)

I lived in Japan for three years. My dad was in the Air Force so we were stationed over there. I graduated high school the first year that I was there so besides doing some babysitting and online college courses (and reading...a lot), I spent the remaining two years exploring Japan :)

The new Cassie book is out on 1st October and it'll be called Tempt the Stars. We're theorising wildly about what might happen in it, so check out the Tempt the Stars threads for our discussions. I loved the movie "Finding Nemo," and Dory was my favorite character. I wish I could have her dogged optimism.

4. Name a famous person that makes you swoon?
Ryan Reynolds. I admit that this goes all the way back to Blade Trinity, which I don't think I would of like if he wasn't in it. I think it's a combination of the killer smile (dimples!), the abs, and mostly the sarcasm. I am a sucker for a sarcastic sense of humor.

5. What's your favourite dessert?
Peanut Butter Cup Brownies. Peanut Butter is like my personal version of chocolate. *Side note: Who else was totally stoked when they came out with the peanut butter pop tarts recently?

6. Anything else you want to share about yourself?
As you may have noticed by my never ending favorite book list, I am an avid reader. Reading is my hobby, my therapy, and my saving grace from boredom. Other than reading I also work a full time job, and am in graduate school for Public Health.

I've only read the first and latest Cassie book (in another group we were doing a buddy read of Tempt The Stars - I had the weekend off so I thought I'd power read the series to be current but I came down sick and only managed to read the first) After reading Tempt The Stars, I switched to the Dory series as I've been eyeing it for a while. I read the three Dory books in less than a week and then re-listened to them on Audible. Long explanation later, I'm Team Dory all the way!
