Are you Team Cassie or Team Dory? I'm gonna go with Team Dory - she is tougher (skinned & battle ready) and she doesn't have to time travel. Although I'm Team Pritkin also - he has more character imperfections than Louis-Cesare.

So, I have been inspired to reread the Karen Chance books now - reading Touch the Dark now. :)I have finished trying several new series and they just weren't working as well for me. Not sure if my interests are changing or what. Thought I would really like the Jane Yellowrock books, but they just didn't work for me (see my full review if you want to know why).
Really looking forward to Patricia Briggs Frost Burned (3/5), Jeannine Frost Twice Tempted (3/26) and Jennifer Estep Deadly Sting (3/26) out next month. :)
Hey Anna! Not sure what all the abbreviations are honestly, but if you want low-key romance, then Jennifer Estep would work the best for you out of the ones that I have listed. Singh & Frost have a lot of romance in them.
Yep, remembering when Cassie first meets Pritkin now, with his green eyes. He is a wonderfully flawed character. :)

Psy/Changling is PNR. Night Huntress I think is more a mix of UF and PNR. I like them a lot. I'd call it UF with a romance. Though the night Huntress World spinoffs lean more toward PNR. Haven't read the last series.

Team Pritkin or Mircea – Have to go for Mircea - am stalking Karen Chance’s website waiting for Masks to be released ..... really, only reason, I don’t go there just to ogl...ah, I mean, appreciate the cover art for it at all, nope, not at ... ahh bugger it, yeah, I go ogle those shoulders with that hair and face, and sultry over the shoulder look ... straight at me *drool ...wipes up keyboard*.
Must admit I do also like the Louis-Cesare/Dory gallery pic as well, much better than the previous LC portrait, this new one def works better for me :)
Hi Karen, thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself, and I hope you'll join in more often. :)I really like that pic of Mircea on the cover of Masks too. I'm not quite as sold on the other Mircea pic that KC has on her Gallery page. I don't think he looks as good in that one. But in the Masks pic, you just know he's naked underneath that black robe, or whatever it is, and he's quite yummy. Whew!
Also, yay for Team Dory! :D I'm hoping we get more Cassie/Dory in Tempt the Stars. Hmmm maybe we should ask KC for some hints.
hey all good, keep thinking will try to worm my way into a thread, but so much is going on in this group, you guys make it hard to keep up :) But have just downloaded the Goodreads app onto my phone, which might make it easier. So agree the gallery pic of Mireca just doesn't do him justice. Right back to work ... via the KC website, just need to check if that robe has managed to fall off yet ......

Nice to meet you all :)I believe I prefer Dory because she is my kind of girl: quiet,calm and tough...at least according to my housband 'the exact opposite of me'...
On the contrary to Cassie: that is very naive,perky and loud (wondering what it says about me...)
Also I prefer Pritkin because he is round, developed and intresting character, in comparison to Mircea which is sexy but very banal...
I'm very shy about my art so it will take me a while to muster the courage to do so....

Cassie Palmer (obviously), Downside Ghosts, Kate Daniels, Mercy Thompson.

I chose it for the same reason I choose anything including food, friends, and books- based on their capability to make me laugh

Team Cassie all the way. I read her books first and have a fierce loyalty to her. For that reason, I’ve never quite been able to overcome a little bit of resentment for the fact Dory’s kinda Mircea’s dirty little secret- not that I don’t love the Dory books. I just can’t wait for this to come and bite that smug Mircea in the ass. [ Biting. Mircea. Ass. You’re welcome for the mental picture, ladies.]

That's interesting how you feel about Dory. Just to be contrary, I think I like Dory better because she never hesitates to bring down Mircea a peg or two LOL! Are you Team Mircea then or is the Angry War Mage your fav?

Hi Lia! Welcome :) Mmmm now that's an interesting and yummy dessert.
I am a Pritkin fan, definitely. I love watching Cassie ruffle his feathers, and think they're perfect together. Mircea's tolerable in to Dory books as a father figure- but that's probably because I can trust Dory to protect herself from his smug and smarmy deception. Cassie, not so much.I'm sure you can infer my feelings about Mircea are less than friendly.
And I'll get right on scheming up and posting some crazy theories about TtS and my favourite war mage.
[I say that as if to convince you I've not already concocted 1001 ways the book can play out, and acted them out in the privacy of my own home, with my Cat playing Pritkin.]
I do love Mircea as a character because he's so damn interesting, but I agree that I don't believe he's right for Cassie. However, I welcome with open arms another member who enjoys bitching about Mircea!!*hugs Lia*
