Welcome and I hope you like it here!

I just wrote 380 words and I'm about to jump back to it. Friday and Saturday were highly unproductive, in terms of writing that is, but, alas, sometimes life does get in the way. I've decided that I'm going to write as much as I can everyday with a 100 word minimum each day.
Anyway, happy writing everyone.
Juan

Graham Greene used to write 100 words per day - every day!
Most other writers I know of are much more productive.
Set a daily target and join us.
We won't sneer if you miss it - well, I will, but most of the rest won't :-)

Hope everyone's doing well in achieving your writing goals.
Juan

Okay, back to the book. Ciao for now.
Juan
I was COMPLETELY that way with the end of Willer. I knew what I wanted, but I couldn't get myself to finish it. You'll get through it, though. Just keep plugging along. :)

Oh I LOVE LOST.
But it is getting so darn wonky. Starting to give me a brain ache just trying to figure out what time zone everyone is in.
Wishing you a great weekend of writing :]

Eveyone enjoy your weekend, your Easter and your Passover....and for those of who celebrating other things, enjoy those too.
Write, write, write.

Hey Jaun,
Yeah, I need to watch the online updates. I miss the little pop-ups that used to appear when they posted the double Lost episodes.
Wishing you a most wonderful weekend as well.

Well, the novel is coming along; much slower than I'd like but it's coming. I'm a little behind - thanks to two crazy weeks that disrupted my usual schedule - but I am back on track.
By the way, if anyone is in the NY area or going to be on May 16, the NY Writer's Coalition is having a marathon day of writing and workshops. I'm raising money for them so if anyone is interested in donating I'd really appreciate it. http://www.firstgiving.com/juanbas is the link to donate. I've only pledged $150.00 so, if everyone contributes, it won't be a lot out of pocket for any one person. Thanks.
Also, and you have to preregister for this, the Book Expo America Writer's Conference starts May 27. I've been before and I think it's a great experience for writers to learn craft, get/stay motivated and to make connections for those of us who want to get published. The link is http://www.bookexpoamerica.com/
Anyway, hope everyone is well. Enjoy your weekends.
Juan

Anyway, keep at it.
Juan
P.S. Paige, hi. Nice to meet you too.

Oh, and whatever you hear about me, IT'S NOT TRUE (good or bad). You're awesome, keep it up.

Also, anything bad you hear about me isn't true. Oh who am I trying to kid? It's all true, every last bit.
Good luck on your goal.

Enjoy your weekend all and Happy Fourth of July for those who are celebrating.

Like I said, earlier...hmmm.....

For those of you who are a good spell on your manuscripts, share some of that mojo would you. ;-)

Don't you have spellcheck? It's great. you click that and everything is fixed. Also my computer underlines all the stuff I miss, except those ones that are words, but don't belong. Like put instead of but. Or an instead of an. Then it underlines my Canadian spelling which is really annoying. I like the U's thank you very much and if I want to use RE instead of ER I will. So take that spellcheck.

You need to have the correct dictionary installed - Tenee, you might consider British English rather than US
It tells you if a word is spelled wrongly, but doesn't tell you it's the wrong word (their-there-they're and two-too-to)
The grammar thing is usually rubbish, especially for fiction.

Now I'm away to wash, dress (no, I'm not naked, just in a ratty pair of shorts and T shirt) and get a train ticket.
Speak soon!

Hi there. Yes, I have spellcheck. I didn't mean corrections in terms of spelling. What I meant were those changes in my choices of words, phrasing, etc that writers like us change all the time. Now, how would some kind of device or software change those for me without being plugged in directly to my brain? LOL!
Juan

Everyone, enjoy your weekend.
