Y.A WRITERS! discussion
Introduce Yourself!(You must do this first!!)
I am a North Carolina-based writer and Acquisition Editor for Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas and a three-time winner of the Delaware Christian Writers' Conference. My Young Adult novel, The Curse of Captain LaFoote, won the 2012 Moonbeam Award in the Pre-Teen Fiction/Fantasy category and 2011 Selah Award in Young Adult fiction. Dead Man’s Hand, the first book in the Caden Chronicles mystery series, is now available from Zonderkidz. Book two, The Skull Creek Mystery releases in the Spring of 2013. I love writing for middle grade age boys and have a passion for turning reluctant readers into leaders. If you Google "buy a boy a book" you will find some of my ideas for how to get boys to read.
hi im kaitlyn.. i love to read all ganres and i love love love animals along with music
I joined this group a couple of months ago, although I don't think I've done an introduction yet.Anyway, I'm 15, I love cats, reading, and writing. I wrote a novel for National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo). My favorite books are Legend, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, and Divergent. I hate trilogies simply for the reason that I can never wait for the next book.
Hey my name is Michelle and I always loved reading. I used to write a lot in my earlier years of high school, but then I got way too busy to conitnue writing. But now that I am graduated I finally have some timew to write again. I love reading dystopian fiction, paranormal romance and a teeny tiny bit of fantasy/sci-fi. But my favorite genre to write about is paranormal fiction :)

I did finish NaNo, sorry to hear about you computer deleting your story! And yes, I do secretly do love trilogie, once they've all come out. I just love that moment when you're disappointed the book has ended and find you out it's part of a trilogy.

Hello, I just joined this group because I don't know enough "real life" people who are interested in writing! Technically my name is Sian, but I don't like using my real name online so I stuck with my favourite book character. I love Little Women - classic books are my favourites.I like writing stories, but I tend to have a commitment problem with them and leave them sadly unfinished. Besides, they don't tend to be very good. I generally stick to writing poetry because I find it easier, but both are good fun!
I am looking forward to being a part of this group :)
Hi, I'm in the process of editing my first novel and I recently started a blog where I help fellow writers.http://writingisendless.tumblr.com
Hey everyone. I'm Megan. I'm a student, I read (a lot) and write (maybe not that well). I've always had a fascination for books and writing and reading. I'd likely be a lot better at it if I practiced more often. That's my kryptonite, though, thinking of a good idea for a story. And if I do, sticking with it. I tend to get tired of writing after a month or two. I participate in NaNoWriMo every year, and Camp NaNoWriMo every summer, usually both months.
I also have a deviantART account, not exactly "writing" related, but if I get a story idea, it's where I'd post covers for it: http://summon-my-soul.deviantart.com/
I love to read...nearly anything I suppose. But as I get older and have had so many books under my belt, I've grown so much pickier in the quality I'll read. As of this post, I'm reading Scorpio Races, which I've enjoyed quite a lot. Some of my favorite books have been: The Host, The Warrior cats series (I don't know anyone who didn't adore this as a kid), The Outlander (who doesn't love hot, Scottish men?), Gone With the Wind, and A Tale of Two Cities. I love classic books, and gothic and victorian ones. I'm always up for a good fantasy, especially one of those traditional epics. I'm also always willing to get books recommended to me, so go ahead.
Quick bit about my writing and I'll be done, I promise! I've mainly only dabbled in writing fantasy, or realistic fiction with that small burst of fantasy. I'm interested in exploring more genres, though. I also role-play. I love it. I used to have my own forum I managed (http://upright-secrets.proboards.com) but I never got any new members besides real life friends, and they stopped using it. I'll role-play nearly any genre (I'm more used to Fantasy, but like exploring)and am always looking for some role-play buddies.
Okay, okay. I'm done now. I talk too much xD
Hi,I am Veeshal. I love to write and read, reading and writing are my solace from the real world. I like reading Science Fiction, thrillers, mystery, romance, paranormal/fantasy and also non-fictional self-help.
Hi! I'm Adriana, and I'm 26 (for a couple of more months anyway). I LOVE to go to church, hang out with my family, and read. My passion is writing. I'm hoping to do the self-pub thing on Kindle in a couple of months when I get my manuscript right where I want it. At the moment, though, I'm loving the day job working in Kindergarten. I could no sooner pick a fave book than I could a favorite star in the sky, and I'm a genre hopper, just recently getting into the ya paranormal/sci fi romances (I'm a romance girl at heart). I will say probably the best book I've read in a long time (and I'm talking plot line and story twists) is Bound by C.K. Bryant. Love it! I hope everyone has a blessed and wonderful day!
Hi, I'm Proud Bookworm, pleased to meet you! I'm almost 14 (a month and 5 days left! =D), and I really like pretty much all fiction, as long as it's good ;D. I love to write, too, but I can never find the balance between reading and writing---I'm always doing either one or the other (currently I'm in the "reading" phase). I think it'd be amazing to publish my own book, but I'm not even close to being talented enough to do that yet. I'm thinking you guys can help me! =DAlso: I know Giulia, and she is awesome =).

Hi, I'm Madeleine, I'm 17 and working on a Dystopian War novel, I'm hoping to get some opinions on it! I love high fantasy YA novels, my favorites are anything written by Libba Bray or Kristin Cashore.
