ISBN confusion

The ISBN for Finding Camlann is bringing up a book from the 1970s (Journal of a Voyage to Nowhere). I'm not too sure what's going on here - I checked on Ingram, Amazon, and WorldCat and every site has the same ISBN for these two different items.

It is unfortunately common for books to share ISBN's.

Some one has already added the appropriate note to the description field.

Finding Camlann will not be searchable by ISBN but we are limited to one ISBN only in the db

I believe that the 10 digit ISBN is invalid. From what I've seen, it should be 0307739961, instead of 0307739964.

I'm trying to set up a giveaway for TEN RALLIES (ISBN: 978-0-615-67701-9), and I keep getting an error stating that it's not in the database.

It is listed on GR, but the ISBN must not match.

Would you please update this? Thanks.

The only edition listed on GR is the Kindle edition (ASIN B009D19666). Is this ISBN for the paperback? If so it needs to be added as a new edition.

Thanks, lobstergirl, but... I guess what I was really asking was, "Is there some officially approved source to check these things?" What I found with a quick search was http://www.isbn.org/converterpub.asp. Is good?

The few tests I ran worked fine on that converter.

I think most of us use:
http://pcn.loc.gov/isbncnvt.html

I like the fact it strips the hyphens, so it is easier to copy/paste into GR. It also tells you what the check-digit should be when the ISBN is incorrect (making a bit easier to identify typos).
