(view spoiler)

message 2: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Cora entered the grounds, equipment in hand and ready to teach whoever came in.

message 3: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope walked into the archery grounds.

message 4: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia also walked in.

message 5: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Cora grinned. "Welcome girls. I am Cora Leyshon, graced in archery obviously. And you?" she turned to them, fully geared up.

message 6: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Cynthia." she replied. "Graced with sword fighting."

message 7: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Penelope. Healing." she introduced herself.

Cora smiled. "So sports or recreation?" she went to get some bows and arrows for the girls.

message 8: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Well, I'm not that good with a bow, so practice would proably be good."

message 9: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "That's good. Catch ladies." she threw the quiver and bow over to them.

Penelope made a feeble catch.

message 10: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia catches the bow, nad walks toward one of the targets.

message 11: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "You know the basics?" Cora asked.

Penelope nodded unsurely and tried her best to string the arrow.

message 12: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) "Kinda." Cynthia replied.

message 13: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope's arrow fell pitifully to the ground.

Cora walked up to them. "Alright, hold your bow with your left arm if you're right handed. Then, take out an arrow. Notch it so the slit is in the bowstring. Pull back until the resistance is too great. Hold the end of the arrow with two fingers solely. Bring it to your cheek and press it so you can aim. Keep your arms as straight as possible. Breath. Believe. Release." she demonstrated it and the arrow flew to its target perfectly.

message 14: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cythia took a deep breath, trying to do what Cora had just said, the arrow went a few feet the fell to the ground.

message 15: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope strung hers but she didn't manage to pull it back cleanly or smoothly enough. Hers wiggled in the air before sliding onto the ground, not even sticking into it.
"Not bad. Keep going." Cora encouraged them.

message 16: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cythia took another deep breath and tried again, the arrow going a little farther.

message 17: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope breathed before pulling back quickly, giving her arrow more distance and speed but her aim still was pathetically off. "I don't think I'll ever get the hang of this." she sighed.

Cora smirked, watching Cynthia. She was a natural.

message 18: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia tried again, still not hitting the target.

message 19: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope tried one more time. It got far but the snapback was feirce and a red blotch swelled up on her inner arm. "Ouch!" she exclaimed, examining it.
"I supposed you girls would like some armor?" Cora fetched some arm bands and bracers for them.

message 20: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia lowerd the bow. "That might be helpful."

message 21: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Penelope strapped hers on and giggled. "I feel badass." she laughed.

Cora smirked. "Go ahead." she urged them.

message 22: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia closed her eyes for a second, taking a deep breath. She tried again, not hiting the circle, but hitting the very edge of the target.

message 23: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Our first hit. Congratulations."

Penelope strung her bow back and her arrow shot high, disappearing in the sun before falling far, far, far from the target. "Maybe I'm a long distance person." she shrugged.

message 24: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Now that she'd at least hit the target, Cynthia was feeling more confident. She shot another arrow.

message 25: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Long distance is nothing without accuracy. Steady your bow and watch your aim. No need to pull back so hard." Cora told Penelope harshly who shut up and nodded. She then tried again.

message 26: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) This time Cynthia's arrow missed the target, but barelly.

message 27: by Giulia (new)

Giulia Cora smirked again.

Penelope struck her first target, but it was the one one over.

message 28: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia sighed. "The bow is definitly not my weapon."

message 29: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Same here." Penelope sighed.

Cora shrugged. "It's not for everyone. But you girls should keep at it. Always something good to have on your side. Besides. Isn't archery on horse back cool?"

message 30: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth (fantasynerd365) Cynthia shrugged. "Never tried it, but I think I'm just going to stick with swords."

message 31: by Giulia (new)

Giulia "Too bad. Hopefully you'll enjoy your teacher." Cora offered.

Penelope tried another arrow and it hit her own target for once.
