Would you like to be the discussion leader for Streamline in January?

I think we might stop the polling/voting if there is a discussion leader for each monthly read :)

Yes, if Streamline is chosen I'll be a discussion leader. I'll go back and read the book,
Streamline again; with everyone else. It's simply too good not to be read at least once.

Fantastic :) I go buy the book and we add it to next monthly read :)

I think if we have a discussion leader for each month, the discussion will go smoother :D

Thanks Mitsy

You're welcome. Make sure others want to read it, though. I'll be a discussion leader for
Streamline next month or anytime. :)

message 61: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle I add it for next month. Don't worry, I am sure at least some of them will read it. If not, you still have me. I don't want to have a poll or anything because even the book has been voted on, there is still not much discussion on the book.

I'll keep that in mind :) Thanks Angela!

message 65: by Maggie (new)

Maggie How's it going? I am new to the group. I love, love, love to read. I chose this group because I want to read the " sea breeze " series and also, I have read some of the books on YACR's bookshelf. I recommend " the raven boys " by Maggie Stiefvater. Some of my favorite authors are: charlaine Harris, Nicholas sparks, p.c. Cast, Colleen Hoover, Anne Rice, June Gray, Maggie Stiefvater, Kim Harrison... These are just a few I can think of. Yes, I have an eclectic taste. I truly love a good story, no matter the story teller. I have a true passion for the written word and I hope I selected a good active book club. I am the only one of my friends who enjoys to read, this is why I had to venture out side the box to find fellow book lovers.

message 66: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Thanks Maggie!

message 67: by Marialee (new)

Marialee (mbdepriest) I read The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden in a few hours! Love, love, love it. Also, The Secret of Ella and Micha is one of my favorites! Both are great picks. Another good one is The Edge of Never.

message 68: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle We have added The Edge of Never in the weekly read, so we are going to read it in the group pretty soon :)

We are not going to vote for the monthly reads as before, so I am going to need a discussion leader after we read Streamline (January monthly read)

message 69: by Deepika (new)

Deepika (deepika3) me!! I will love to do the honors!;)

message 70: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Aww... why not? :D We'll see when the time comes :)

message 71: by Marialee (new)

Marialee (mbdepriest) is there a reason i am seeing blue boxes instead of book titles? I'm new to good reads so not sure if I'm missing something. I see some titles just not all.

message 72: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Marialee wrote: "is there a reason i am seeing blue boxes instead of book titles? I'm new to good reads so not sure if I'm missing something. I see some titles just not all."

So you cannot see the title? I have not idea why either.

Gabby | 88 comments Can i still suggest a book?

message 75: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Sure Gabby? What you want hun? We even allow members to be the discussion leaders for each monthly read if they want :)

message 76: by Gabby (new)

Gabby | 88 comments Sorry, obviously new here. sometime can we read Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols if we haven't already?

message 77: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle We haven't read it yet in the group. But I have, a few chapters anyway. It got a bit boring and I gave up :) Have you read it yet? Or you want to start in this group?

message 78: by Angela (new)

Angela | 700 comments I didn't like it as much as her other books. :/ I finished it anyway though.

message 79: by Gabby (new)

Gabby | 88 comments No. I haven't read it, but if no one wants to then I'll read it in my own time :)

I haven't read any of her other books, so...yeah.

message 80: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle if you want to read it as monthly read, we have to wait til february dear because we have january book already :)

message 81: by Gabby (last edited Dec 28, 2012 06:53PM) (new)

Gabby | 88 comments Okay, I'd have probably read it by then, but knowing my TBR pile, i have something to go on with :)

message 82: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle We might need monthly book in the middle of January. Let me know what you want to read together, so I can arrange it. :)

message 83: by Trina (new)

Trina Reid I'm new here but how about The Fault in Our Stars...

message 84: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle It would be nice. Maybe we can add it to the weekly read instead of monthly read. We'll see :) Thanks Trina.

Gabby | 88 comments Gisbelle wrote: "We might need monthly book in the middle of January. Let me know what you want to read together, so I can arrange it. :)"

Okay. But i don't want to start te discussion, i really don't know what i'm doing But i'll let you know. A weekly will be okay, though. Whenever you can fit it in. No rush.

message 86: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle No problem dear. We have books scheduled until the end of February.

message 87: by harshini (new)

harshini (watchmeread) | 523 comments I second Fault in Our Stars soemtime... :)

message 88: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle As long as there is someone willing to be the discussion leader, we can totally read it as February monthly read :)

message 89: by harshini (new)

harshini (watchmeread) | 523 comments Feb is not a good time for me, but I will definitely read it later and discuss :)

message 90: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Sure, of course :)

and The Secret of Ella and Micha. I haven't read them, yet, so I'd like either. :)

message 92: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle They sure look amazing! I am going to read them both next year :D

message 93: by Mitsy (new)

Mitsy (mitsyc) Gisbelle wrote: "They sure look amazing! I am going to read them both next year :D"

Yes, they do. Happy holidays, Gisbelle! :) Do you have a book and/or discussion leader picked for February?

message 94: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle Not yet hun. But it's ok. We still have a long way to go.

message 95: by Gisbelle (new)

Gisbelle What should we read in February?

message 96: by Carla (new)

Carla Hanna (carlajhanna) | 25 comments Can I recommend curling up with a Hollywood hottie for February, starting with the first book of the brand new YA contemporary romance STARLET coming-of-age series? Starlet's Web by Carla J. Hanna

Awesome. Thanks.

message 99: by Gisbelle (last edited Jan 10, 2013 07:50PM) (new)

Gisbelle Sounds good, but to be fair to other authors in the group, I don't think it is a good idea to add this book as a monthly read. But I will try and see if we can add it in our weekly read.

message 100: by Aubrey (new)

Aubrey (aubrey_nichole) I can't believe it's already 1/2 through Jan! Are we making suggestions for Feb yet? If so, I'd love to suggest BLAZE or Love in the Time of Supervillains.Blaze The cover is amazing!
