Describe the Twilight Saga in one word

I mean: Sure, Edward was a creepy stalker. Bella a selfish, whiny little girl with huge co-dependency issues. The end was totally anti-climatic. The birth scene was disgusting. But the books actually made me laugh a lot. You know, like when you occasionally watch a bad TV show to make fun of it? It was the same in book-form!

I kinda agree with you XD (except I don't think the books are bad, lol )

That's probably just me, but I first picked up the series as I was going through a horrifying divorce, and just needed a bit of escapism. I was in my 30s at the time, so not the standard YA reader. I've never been much of a fan of romance novels, either. But at this point in my life, something about the (yes, ok... its a bit trite and silly) epic love affair, and finding the one person who makes you feel like you belong really resonated with me and made me feel hopeful in a time when all seemed pretty bleak for me. Those books actually helped me make it through my divorce! lol I'm happy to say, 5+ years later, that I've found my 'person'... and I still revisit the Twilight saga from time to time. ;)

Every book in the series is a LOT of complaining, Bella is so completely whiny that I can't stand any of the books."
Ha! I second Whiny.

They were actually what got me into reading so I cant really complain. Obviously I now know there are better books out there but nevertheless not that bad
