Woman knows how to write books that sell. Look at the woman who wrote 50 shades of gray. She was a big twilight fan and wrote her books after being inspired by twilight. Sounds weird but we studied the twilight books in my "Vampire Stories" class I took as an under-grad for religious/Jewish studies. Not Jewish but it was named Vampire Stories and of course I took it. Anyway, all of the other "stories" we covered had a certain meaning. One was about the threat of Jews (Dracula), homosexuals, cocaine, aids, etc. In all of them, vampires represented the evils of the time. We tried to figure this out when it came to twilight and we could come up with nothing. Said a lot about where it stood against its peers. Either way, made a ton of money.

This is one of the worst series of books that I’ve ever read. The characters are flat and unrealistic, there is no existing plot in the series, and the romance is abus..."
edward was creepy , agree hahah kinda funny too everyone thought he like bella from the start but the truth he was fantasizing how to kill her ,

I don't understand all this Twilight backlash. It was Meyers' debut novel series written for tweens, which it was this group of young girls that started it on it's meteoric rise in popularity. I was not so interested in the story of Bella/Edward/Jacob as I was in the back stories of each of the Cullens. I thought her version of the vampire genre to be very unique and intriguing.
Also some seem to be referring to the movies and not the book series.
