Yes, you can find meaning in a loaf of bread. A loaf of bread is not a thoughtless thing. In fact, I think very few things don't have an element for thought or discussion somewhere. But I think Twilight has more than average.

With all the descriptions of the rain, the gray skies, etc. and when Bella kept on and on whining and wanting to die and have those near death experiences so she could see Edward, well...Depressing!

Yes, it does.
We do get a background story for the main characters too. We know where Bella has come from when she moves to town and see her interact with her mother and father. We also hear Edward's story and the subtext of New Moon is Edward's loathing of himself as a vampire, which is why he leaves. A lot of it's hidden behind the love story, but it's there.

The first book I have ever read that I feel does not deserve to be read. This book is complete and utter garbage that should not be read by anyone. It is full of abusive, unhealthy relationships, with despicable characters, disgusting lore, and vampires lamer that the count from Sesame Street. The story is utter rubbish and the writing itself is nothing spectacular. In all, it's a long, drawn out shitfest of a teenage fanfiction that somehow got itself published.

This is one of the worst series of books that I’ve ever read. The characters are flat and unrealistic, there is no existing plot in the series, and the romance is abus..."
"Do you do that often?"

Me: Geez! Could this guy get any creepier?!
"I like watching you sleep. I find it fascinating"
ME: OH MY GOD HE CAN!

Couldn't stand with all the kissing. If Ms Mayer left it at book one, I think it would be loved by everyone, but noooooooo--there should be more kissing and sexual tension. Such a waste.

I have read all the books (I was like 11 or 12 don't judge me)
the books are not deep or have any thought or anything. They seem to show that a woman can't live without a strong man b..."
Oh My Gosh…you read my mind. All that is so true. Especially the part about Bella being weak and K-Stew not helping much.
