Well I used 'generic' and I think bad so...The writing is poor (dazzling...), the situations are really standard ones (boy meet girl...), the story is really slow paced (if you except money maker tome 4) and most of the events are easily predictibles. The 4th volume is obviously written under comercial pressure and is a lump to the original trilogy. The characters are stereotyped to the extreme and honestly the vampires are all but scary. I felt chained to it, by having to read it at least to have an opinion about it.

Well first we meet Bella, then Bella meets Edward, then Edward introduces Bella officially to the family. Then we have James, then we have the end of James. Then Victoria. Army of newborns. End of Victoria. Engagement. Marriage. Honeymoon. Pregnancy. Child. Bella becoming a vampire herself. Then the Volturi, bunch of old egotists. Then the almost battle. The wolves always in the background. Alice and Jasper saving the day and also finding out that Nessie will eventually stop aging. All peace returns. The Volturi leave. And finally Bella and co living happily ever after, literally. That's pretty much a journey ain't it?

I definitely agree with that.

I'm very surprised that out of all of the Five hundred something post on this thread, only one other person said this. No one can deny it, the first one was four hundred pages, and with each book the length increases about a hundred more pages.
