What Time Is It and What Are You Doing?

Oops, my mistake. Riding the crimson wave are we?"
LMAO, Kyle.
It's 9:41...and sorry, I just couldn't help but laugh at Kyle's comment.

HAHA, It is definitely appreciated!! My husband fortunately works at a hospital as a speech pathologist, so he's seen a LOT of unpleasant things and said stuff like that didn't bother him. Well, one day, he went to the store, and he asked me if I needed anything. I said sure, and told him what I needed. Let's just say, he didn't want to call me because he wanted to prove he could do it on his own. I have to say, I was impressed: He got exactly what I wanted. Now, when he made the mistake..ONE TIME...of asking if I had pms while we were dating....He learned from that, and has NEVER said it again. We've be married for over two and a half years. ;)

I tend to go out to get that stuff for my wife, and I am so skittish getting it I have to buy like a soda or candy bar to go with it. It is as if I went in for candy and just decided to pick it up. I think that is worse than being slightly embarrassed. I must look like a deer in headlights trying to find the right thing for her.

hehehehhe... hilarious. hell, i do the same, and i am a woman! oh yeah, i don't have that issue anymore... Blessed!
anyway, it is 11:05am and i have been reading since i woke up. Carrion Comfort is thrilling to read, but sometimes i feel like a need a shower because of the cruel, filthy behavior of our bad guy(s)... I have had 2 cups of coffee, eggs, toast and fed the cat at the end of the bed. ...why won't she leave?

Hi, J.S!
First and foremost, I just wanted to express my condolences for your loss. How very awful...:(
Secondly, I think you write beautifully. Always listen to that inner voice and never give up. I believe that God put you on this earth to write, so that your words might inspire others. I know you've been an encouragement to me.

Aw, thanks. :)
Btw, this conversation has become quite entertaining! I don't think I would ever allow my husband to suffer by sending him off to purchase...well, you know.

Me? Oh, yeah; watching some hip-hop, reading Carrion Comfort, singing in my head and laughing at myself.
**pssttt... the cat left.. :O

..jealous... :(

..jealous... :("
Come over...I'll share! :)

:) Oh Kyle, have I told you how much you crack me up!?
Thank you, I needed that!

Do tell why you don't eat these calorie/carb/sugar loaded goodies, Christine.

that is not a good enough excuse.. we need to deprogram her... 8)
It is 6:58 and Carrion Comfort is driving me nuts... but i love the ride. 8D

I have been thinking things about Christine. The fact that she doesn't eat candy or chocolate adds to these thoughts. Of course these things are not good for Christine. Christine runs on gasoline! Hey, it even rhymes. Maybe I could think of a poem about her.
(No offense intended, Christine. It's just that we have more than one Stephen King fan here. Feel free to joke about my name as well.)
So what is Carrion Comfort about, and who wrote it? How DO you comfort carrion? Or is the carrion comforting to something or someone else?
I would like to add that I spent most of the day going through the guide to Wordstock, a book fair in my area, and trying to decide which events to attend. So many good things to choose from! You should all live by Portland, Oregon, so you could get in for the whole weekend for only $10! Aren't you jealous? You would be if you read the schedule. Now if only I felt I could afford the workshop on writing a series.

I am sipping coffee, making a mental grocery list and contemplating a marathon read to finish this book.
*sigh*

Coffee and reading sounds good...Maybe I'll join you! hahahaha!!! I would love to finish this book this weekend because I gotta know what happens!! I think I am going slow on it so I can visualize everything going on. Simmons did a great job describing everything, I feel like I have the places all mapped out in my head.
LOL Kyle.
It's 11:56 AM and I'm checking up on GR and watching the Stephen King movie marrathon. YAY!

You can do it! I am stalking you, Janie and Tim - I see posts on my update feed where you are over here talking behind my back and I must come be nosy!
Oh and so I stay on topic it is 1:30 pm and I am working, well at least I am at my desk looking at my computer. LOL

Oh, okay. I think it's okay to spurge every once in awhile, though.:)

same here; i know i will finish this weekend; probably tomorrow afternoon. the visuals are great in this book.

We have student loan debts, too....and we just try not to think about it. hahah..notice I said "try."

Oh, and I went ahead and paid for the workshop, after all. If I starve this winter, I starve. If I freeze, I freeze. I'm taking the risk because I want to start this book series right. It's not as expensive as I thought it was, but it does add up. I will probably pack lunches for Saturday, saving me money and time that I can spend enjoying it all. You can eat your lunch while listening to speakers there.

J.S.: Yes, I understood that the miscarriage was your Bad Time. I was just concerned about your running out of heat in your home, so I was thinking that if it got very cold there that would be a pretty bad time in a different way.
