hehehhee.. exactly!

All you have to do is click on the percentage, and it should change to pages read. Hope it works for ya! :)

My Intermediate Editing class from U.C. Berkeley online is underway, I have some freelance editing and a critique in exchange for a critique to do. I am supposed to write some articles for AuthorsByDesign.com for a small amount of pay each, but I haven't started any. Also, one of my writing groups is preparing to oversee rehearsals of our second annual theater production. Last year, one or two of the writers came just once to watch rehearsals and the rest didn't come at all; I went every time but one, and I got a bad cold from the effort and weather. Coughed all through the performances. This time the location may be closer to home.
I am thinking of trying out my own version of the practice of some writers of writing early in the morning while still half asleep, to take advantage of the dream state. I don't function well in the morning as a rule, but I have quite the habit of being up late at night chatting with people on the Internet and playing useless games. The conversations can be great bonding and mutual helping experiences; the games fill up the time when no one is online to talk to. What can I say? I'm single. And some of my fondest memories were of staying up late or all night with my best friend and experiencing the buzz--and sometimes "hangover"--of being so tired and yet so awake. With no one to actually be present to talk to through the nights, my online buddies are the next best thing. My friend and I also used to "raid the refrigerator" when one spent the night with the other. Now I raid my own fridge, and the food sustains me.
The more I MUST do, the more I seem to need to balance it with play. Play becomes more important than rest at times--a kind of rest that energizes.
Perhaps you have been wondering what's become of me. I have as you see been very busy, but if you write me a private message I will see in my email that you did, and I will read your note and respond.
Now I think I will write in my blog about the production my writing group is doing. Check it out, will you? And write a comment so I know that I have some readership. I would greatly appreciate that.

It's now 6:38, and I just finished my blog post. I can call the doctor's office in about 20 minutes and find out when I can get in, so I might as well stay up at least until after the call. Thinking I would be in bed and too tired to get up at 7, I finally hooked up my new French provincial phone and put it on my beside table along with my bus schedule and phone directory so I could call from bed. The old phone has to hang on the wall by my desk--close to where I sit.
My chiropractor wants me to get up and do lunges every hour when I am using the computer, but I only do them once in a while. If I did them faithfully, I should have less pain in my body. But I don't usually think about pain unless I'm in it, and when I'm in it I don't want to do lunges. More naughtiness, more excuses!
But now I'm doing the neck exercises he recommended. They are easier and make me feel good. Instant gratification.
6:45. 15 minutes to wait. Stomach starting to growl.

I used to watch that show, it was funny :)
It's 10:22 a.m and I'm waiting for little guy to finish his breakfast so we can go to the post office (again!) to mail out some books for paperbackswap. Got bombarded in the last few days, like whoa. Great for when I get my credits though... I got a wantlist a mile long lol.
Well, now it's actually 10:25 :)

Wow, three times, Kristen? I thought you'd only lived there for a year. Hmm..

I turned my junk room into a writing lair over the past couple of days! Took me hours to get it cleaned out and decorated.

Hi, Michelle!!
I'm so happy to hear that graduate school's going great so far, and that your husband's finally moving home tomorrow! I'm deeply sorry about your grandmother, though...:(

OMG!! you have reason to be... spend as much time with grandma as you can. I never met any of mine and always enjoy being around my old patients at work. They are a hoot, and don't care who know it. I shall keep her in my prayers, if that is okay? :)

at least one of us is...hehehe
What are you excited about and make sure you post it under good things :D
It's 1:41 PM, and I'm thinking about reading, as well. And hanging out with all my great GR friends, of course!:)
