message 758: by Dustin (new)

Dustin | 1195 comments Mod
Um, Black House for sure! I was going to last night, but by the time I finished the Atlas Shrugged chapter (which is very interesting, BTW,) it was starting to get late, and then Tanya and I watched TV until bed. I might just focus on BH, actually!

I'm very happy to hear that! It's pretty different from The Talisman, especially the way it's written, but I'm sure you'll love it.

You're so lucky that you got to live in Thailand for a year Kristen! Where were you living? I have a friend who works here in Australia for 6 months then spends the next 6 months in Bangkok each year. Last year my husband and I went to visit him and absolutely loved it - the food is to die for! We spent about a week in Bangkok then 5 days in Chiang Mai. We're hoping to go back again in September.

2.09 pm - taking a lunch break and hoping the rest of the afternoon goes quickly. I'm not really in the mood to be at work today :/

message 796: by Alondra (new)

Alondra Miller 4:39pm ET. Getting ready to bake some fresh salmon, and cook some rice. Finished the Scorch Trials and started A Dance with Dragons. I picked up The Giver, so i could have something short and sweet to read with ADwD, since that is a HUGE book. I can literally hold my door open with it. I also have A Tale of Two Cities sitting next to me as well. That is my chore book. I have a rule with plants and books. 3 tries and you are out, period!

Giant books scare me a little. I don't know why. I think their gargantuan size intimidates me. I owned The Talisman for a year before I was brave enough to crack open its cover and begin reading it...I think that group read helped. :)
