Robin (robinlayne) | 72 comments 12:18 a.m., and trying to get sleepy enough to go to bed. Had a great day with writer friends, writing, talking, and deciding to go see The Hobbit together next Friday night, and had a great evening with other friends celebrating my first Hannakah. Waa, can't figure out how to spell it and don't want to take the time to find out! I am utterly disgusted with the way the world is treating Israel and I don't think that these violent attacks that are happening--Connecticut, the Clackamas mall here in Oregon, and the one in China--are coincidental. You may not want to hear me "preach," but if you want to know what I think is going on, message me.
In my reading, I finished "The Vampire Kitty Cat Chronicles" several days ago, and while I ride on the bus, I read "Immaculate Misconceptions" (although I have never been Catholic). At home I'm reading "Benedict Arnold, the Dark Eagle." His story is a sad one that shows what pride and unforgiveness can do to someone. I have been planning a blog post about it and have put it off. Oh, and I finished most of my Christmas cards today. Yesterday was the last day of my editing 1 class, so now I have more time for other things. The editing 2 class starts January 22.

It would seem strange that life and its joys go on in spite of all the tragedies and the fearful things around us and coming upon the world. But it was said long ago that people would be carrying on doing their normal activities until Jesus returns. Even as I say this, I feel the possible oppression that could come upon me from people who hate hearing his name. But I must say that the only hope for any of us is in the Lord. I pray you will all come to understand that and most of all experience it firsthand. Love to you!

How'd it turn out, Kyle?

message 562: by Robin (new)

Robin (robinlayne) | 72 comments It's 3:46 p.m., and I have just posted the last installment of my short story, "Manuel Pascal," so the whole thing is now available in time for Christmas. Then I made a blog post called "Conquering the Horror Within." Inspired by the way my characters' attitudes rubbed off on me while I was writing "Against Heaven and Hell," this post contrasts the destructiveness of resentment and the healing affects of forgiveness.

J.S. Bailey (jsbailey) It's 8:24 pm and my internet is acting up. The only sites I've been able to access are Goodreads and my author site. Yahoo, Godaddy, Facebook, Twitter, Amazon, and Youtube won't load and the screen says that the server can't be found. I don't get it.

I'm the same Kyle... I refuse to see movies if I haven't read the book first. That's why I need to get my skates on with The Hobbit!

Hope you're enjoying :)

Yeah, that is a bit shocking, but you're getting to them soon. That's all that matters. I think you'll fall in love with all the hobbits, Middle-Earth, etc.. I'm so happy for you!!

BTW, I didn't get to them until 2003-04, so I'm a relative newbie.
