When is the best time for you to start? I have it loaned on my Kindle through my library and the loan expires in 11 days.

@Sarah, I guess this won't work out for me then, because I'm going on vacation in four days, and there are eight people ahead of me on the eBook holds. I was thinking more late July...
Ahh I may not be able to do that. I think someone has a hold on it after me. Once it expires, they will get it. I could turn it in and then put a hold on it. Or even check the libraries...

Trisha, any chance you can read
August 1 since I start back to school on August 3? It comes out July 21. Of course, anyone is welcome if you read book 1.

want me to make the thread? or you?
You're probably so busy! I'll make it. SO excited to see what happens! Thanks! Here you go: https://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/...
**************************For those of you with buddy reads:
I've tried cleaning up the "in progress" area so it doesn't have so many threads (finding completed or abandoned and moving them out)
but If I moved one you were still working on, just let me know (you can post in the thread) and I'll get it moved back into "in progress"
If I moved it, I either sent it to Archived or Duplicate/Abandoned
:)

Would anyone like to do a read of
? It just came out today and I'm so excited to read it. I can normally fly through these books in no time once I get started, lol.

@Lydia: Sure! I love the Great Gatsby. This will be a re-read for me. It's been a long time since I've read it, though. What date would work best for you?
Nicole - Too Weird To Live, To Rare To Die- wrote: "It doesn't matter to me you can choose"Would this Friday work for you for I am Princess X?
And then next Tuesday for I'll Meet You There?
Sarah, this will be my first book by this author, but I think ALL of her books (or most) are on my TBR shelf!
Vicki wrote: "Sarah, this will be my first book by this author, but I think ALL of her books (or most) are on my TBR shelf!"You will LOVE her. Most of them are standalone. However, like Sarah Dessen's novels, some of them sort of slightly tie into one another. But you can definitely read them by themselves. I have been reading them as they came out and so I've sort of picked that up.

I sent you both links via email--so you won't have to keep coming back to the thread and having to search for it. I hope that this helps!

No problem! I decided to get a little more active this summer. School's out and I have a lot of free time on my hands. But it'll be back to college for me soon..

I know how you feel! It'll be back to high school for me on August 3...as the teacher! LOL I never say work; I always say school. I don't know why. But if I ever say I have school tomorrow, I mean work. LOL
@Vicki I know what you mean. My parents work with school too, so I know all about it. They dread the 4th of July because that just means orientation, trainings, meetings, and back to school...lol
Haha! I remember my college days after finals feeling like my brain was literally fried from all the studying! LOL
I know! I feel like that after reading the textbooks! Normally I work part time as a work study in the library during the semester. I get to see all the new books, DVDs, and CDs. I security strip the books, stamp them with the ownership stamp, and do the call # labeling on the spines of the books. I also do Mylar covering and also take care of recycling items that are withdrawn from the library. During the summer, I work full time until school starts back.Right now I work 4 days a week. I'll be a junior in the fall. I'm pre-law, but I am a social work major. I recently was accepted into my school's program--we had to apply in order to take our higher level classes. There were 30 spots open at my school out of 120. The program is at 3 other campuses besides mine so that's why there were 30 spots. I have to do practicum hours with my major. 120 hours next spring and 400 before I graduate. I was so stressed out this past semester because of applying, but I keep my grades up and work hard in my classes. I barely have any time for myself during the semester. What time I do have for myself, I have to make. That's why I'm not as well-read as I'd like to be during the semester... Lol
Sarah, you are very wise to focus on your studies while in college! I remember those days and it isn't easy to fit in anything else, and in my case I was going through a divorce and had five children to raise, so I scheduled all my classes during their school hours. What made my college days even more "fun" is that I had NO CAR for a year-and-a-half! Plus my refrigerator burned (caught fire) up and I had no refrigeration for nearly 6 months. I had to walk every day for milk, etc. and used an ice chest. I also had no washer/dryer so I had to go to a laundromat. That was hard because my family lived over 300 miles away, so I had to hand wash things when I couldn't get a ride from a friend and you know how we hate imposing on others! It was humbling to say the least.
Because of all that and more I lived the motto "you just do what you gotta do and get 'er done!" I have no mercy on students whose dogs ate their homework! Lol
@Vicki oh man! that had to have been rough! Sometimes you just gotta do what you got to do, regardless. I know my fridge in my dorm had leaked my first year of college, but luckily I managed to be able to buy a new one. I live about 20 minutes from home. I don't commute though in winter because KY roads are so hilly and awful. In the fall and in better weather, I mostly commute then. I go back and forth between the house and the dorm, especially if things are stressful at school or with roommates. Plus if I have night classes, I'll stay at the dorm sometimes depending on how late it is. I don't want to risk my life going to class, especially with driving so I stay put during winter weather. Safety first! We have washers and dryers in the basement of my dorm building. It's 16 floors and sometimes trying to do laundry is an all night job! It is thankfully free-it used to not be...
