I think they all look good, too; however, for our Halloween read I think one of these sounds the freakiest:
or
But of course I will read whatever you two would like!
I think The Fall is the best among those too :) I love Edgar Allen Poe! I read Black Cat years ago and I was so scared of our cat because he was so much the same as the cat in the book. And he loved following me around too lol

Of course. Thanks :)"
I picked Thursday, that way we can kick it to Friday if we get busy :)

Gisbelle wrote: "Dog Day also sounds scary :D"It does! did you guys see the author's other books? Gory zombie stuff :D lol
Vicki wrote: "I love Poe too! He was an amazing heart-stopping writer!"Yeah, I've read most of his books. Tell-tale Heart and Black Cat are my favorite ones :)
Trisha, I did see those. The first thing I did was look up the author's other books and ratings to see how well people rated them. LOLI think we can't go wrong with The Fall, but I'll have to buy it. My library will never have it by time we're going to read it (if we choose that one), if they get it at all. LOL

I have to vote for Tell-tale Heart, BUT I also love The Cask of Amontillado!
Gis and Trisha, have we decided on our Halloween book or shall we take a vote? LOL Looks like Trisha's favorite is
and we (Gis and I) both love Poe, so it sounds like a winner.

I think I'll have to buy it too :)
I saw that one at Edelweiss and at that time I didn't request an ARC. When I went back maybe a few weeks later to request, it had been removed :/ Anyway, I think most libraries will have it by then :D
Gis, I think Oct. 30 will work better for me. I get home from work about 3:30 and kids start around 5:00-5:30 here and go till 8:30 or 9:00. I'd probably only get a little read on Halloween itself.
Great, we'll see what Gis says. I'm pretty sure she can do the 30th because she said either Halloween or the day before. If it were the weekend (Saturday or Sunday) I'd say the day of, but I know what Halloween is like where I live...up and down, up and down...all night! LOL
Tana, I am really booked up for October, but if you can wait to read
and
until November, I'll read those with you.
Trisha and Gis, I am going to go ahead and set up the thread for us for the 30th. If that turns out not to work for any reason, we can change it later. I'm just excited to get it up there. I LOVE our Halloween reads!
Tana wrote: "I'm palnning on reading these books in October. Does anyone want to join me?
[bookcover:The Hal...]Ooh! I was planning to read the same too :)
I want to join in
and
I was thinking to read the first one in the beginning of October, and then the second one in the mid of the month.
Trisha, I have
out from the library now but I would need to start them rather soon. I am interested in
but just ordered it so it would take a bit to actually get.
Probably going to start reading this soon.... anyone interested? Kind of an older one, but with Blood of Olympus coming out my boyfriend is saying I should read it ASAP
I was hoping to make October a psychological thriller/mystery month for myself! Anybody interested in any of these books? :)
